As usual this weeks round of fixtures has thrown up some great fixtures, none more so than the clash between two of the unbeaten sides in Thornlie and Safety Bay. The other undefeated side in Gosnells with a much easier game against the bottom side in Armadale.
All other games will be very interesting at this early stage of the season.

Not sure where the Ravens are playing their games at the moment, whether it is on the grass or synthetic. But either way I believe that The Bay just might have the better overall sixteen, and maybe the steadier skips as well. The Bay have already beaten the Lions away from home, so providing that their side does not contain too many changes, I think they may have too much firepower all round. But Glyn Vaughan and his boys will have other ideas, so whoever they draw will have a tough match on their hands.
Safety Bay. 7-1

The battle of the newly promoted sides should be a ripper of a contest at the home of the Eagles in Manning.
And the fact that the Eagles are playing at home, makes me believe they can inflict another defeat on the Mariners. Both sides have been very competitive in two of their games so far this year, and both lost to The Bay, so there shouldn’t be much between them on paper. But, as I have said before the Eagles are stacked full of ex Premier League players, and they will have too much experience as a team for the Mariners. I am still unsure of the capabilities of some of the visiting teams many new players, and no doubt they are still settling down as a unit. So that is why I will tip the Eagles to win handsomely. Ngui is also a big out for the Mariners.
Manning. 7-1

This game should be a walk in the park for the Kookaburras, who will inflict another big defeat on the Storm. The home ground advantage, as well as having a very experienced sixteen will see them remain at or near the top of the table come Saturday night.
Can the General make it four out of four?
Gosnells. 8-0

Even though these teams are only two points apart on the ladder at the moment, I think that this game could result in a comfortable win to the home side. Spearwood have been very competitive so far this year, and their solid back end players are backed up by some extremely good fighters at the front. I really rate the Hawks four skips, but there a host of good reasons why i believe the home side will win convincingly. Unkovich to once again show leadership to his sixteen to help carry the day.
Spearwood. 7-1

The Lions get to play another game away from home on grass against the quite competitive Reds outfit, who only have one rink win this year so far. The Reds are fighters as we know, but they just seem to lack the firepower, and apart from Simms their skips are not match winners
Whilst the visiting Lions possess four very good skips, backed up by some excellent front end players.
Vandersluys and his rink are capable of blowing the aggregate apart themselves, as are the Newton foursome. The Lions with too much talent I believe.
