Round six is now upon us with some very interesting clashes lined up this Saturday for us to witness.
Can Leeming resurrect their season, which has been very shaky for one of the pre season favourites?
Can Safety Bay continue on their winning ways up at Spearwood?
Will Manning carry on with their good form when they travel down the road to Vic Park? Will Ron Hall and his team continue their unbeaten run?
Safety Bay and Gosnells have established a healthy lead at the top of the table, but only six points separate third and eighth spot.
Come Saturday evening and the table may open up a fraction I think.

First versus seventh in this game, but maybe the Spearwood boys will settle their side down and challenge the boys from down south.
Two of the best skippers in the business will be playing in Ron Hall and Ivan Unkovich, it would be worth watching if their rinks drew each other.
Maybe the visitors have the more balanced outfit at this stage, but the Spearwood guys have been know for their fighting spirit in the past.
Can they reproduce that on Saturday?
The Bay for my money.
Safety Bay. 6-2

Second versus eighth in this one, when the Mariners travel way inland to the home of the Kookaburras.
The visitors may just be out of their depth a little on Saturday, playing on a foreign surface entirely to their nice grass greens. They also have more changes to their lineup, don’t know whether it’s a selection matter or players being unavailable, either way not very conducive for the club.
Heldt and Wachmer are good inclusions indeed, but the front end for Kookaburras may prove to be the main difference.
Nicol versus Wachmer would be a dream draw.
The Kookas easily for me.
Gosnells 7-1

An easy game for the Hawks here, playing at home on their lovely grass against the cellar dwellers In the Storm.
Whilst the visitors put up a better performance last week, they come up against a very settled and confident home side here.
Four very good skips in Hunter, Standley, Simpson and Dodd backed up by some good, solid players, will see the Hawks rise further up the ladder come Saturday evening.
The Newton’s playing against last years teammates, could be some fireworks here.
Hilton 8-0

Ninth versus third here, in what is a must win game for the Reds playing against the very accomplished Eagles at home.
The Eagles on a roll right now, thrashing the Mariners at home and then surprisingly having a handy win over the Lions away from home.
Even though the Eagles are chock full of very good and experienced players, so do have the Reds in their midst a lot of experience and guile.
I would like to pick the Reds to win, but I think the Eagles might just pip them in a thriller.
Manning. 6-2

Two sides that have both had indifferent starts to this pennant season, now sitting fifth and sixth on the ladder.
The Ravens would be reasonably happy with the start that they have had, a little hiccup last week though, but they seem to have fairly settled sides.
The Lions on the other hand would be getting quite concerned with their topsy turvy, indifferent form.
As I have said before though, the Lions do possess some good skips, which might help, but we all know that we need bowls in the head.
Maybe the Ravens can fulfil this part of the game a little better and win this one.
Thornlie. 6-2
