One Blue north is developing into a very even competition with the top 4 teams on 3 wins and the next 3 teams on 3 wins. This week we have four of the top 7 playing each other while the other three are playing the bottom sides, albeit two are away games. I await the results with interest, away wins will be critical come year end.

When one looks at the Doubleview side it is bristling with talent, a state singles winner and many players with Premier league experience. Yet they lost at home to a fellow top 7 side last week, had they won with the way other results panned out they could have been top. My Lawley were massive last week handing Quinns it's first home ground loss is two years. A relatively inexperienced side but they do have in Einfeld and Masel two of the best One Blue skippers. Home ground advantage is significant and I will tip Mt Lawley

After suffering a bad home ground loss to fellow bottom three side Wanneroo last week Stirling have to travel to Mundaring who are all but unbeatable at home. And of course winners away against Doubleview last week. Mundaring have lost just once this year, and that was away, and should win very comfortably.

Second versus eighth with the home ground advantage somewhat muted as both clubs have fast and true grass greens. Wanneroo have been competing well and winning rinks but this is a strong settled Yokine side they encounter who have added three good players this year. Yokine have been the most consistent side, Wanneroo will fight hard but they have quality opposition that will be hard to beat.

OUTS: E Moore

A very interesting game. Two weeks ago Quinns were looking unbeatable. After successive losses they now face a danger game which they will find more challenging if North Beach play on their super fast artificial. Some good ins at the Beach add to the challenge. Sooner or later North Beach will the play near to their best, will it be this week? Perhaps

Undefeated at home this year Kalamunda meet the in form Swan who have won their last three to sit just 1/2 point from top position. Kalamunda does enjoy a good home ground advantage with their fast synthetic to challenge a Swan side who play on a sluggish grass green at home. It will be tight, however if Swan want to challenge for promotion they need to win these games against lower ranked teams away. They have the players, they have the will to win.
