Round 7 kicks off with a traditional Saturday afternoon game and again we have some intriguing games. None more so than our first game

MOSMAN PARK v MANNING

MOSMAN PARK
L Beurteaux, S Swanson, D Adams, M Barrett
P Daley, C Edson, K Manton, M Van Bemmel
C Hoffman, T Cranswick, B Hoffman, M Robertson
D Marsland, A Gryta, O Dawson, D Daley
INS: M Van Bemmel
OUTS: P Collins

MANNING
A Williams, S Withers, M Allan, S O'Brien
L Such, P Ker, N Jones, P Herbert
T Mitchell, S Patterson, G Quann, M Kemp
S Knott, A Heal, L Grigg, L Herbert
INS: No change
OUTS:

Manning are having a weird year, they havent really hit their straps straps and yet sit 4th and with a good chance here to solidy their spot in the top 4. No change at Manning and Mosman Park have made the 1 change, Peter Collins is out and Van Bemmel comes in. It is at Mosman Park where they do have a home ground advantage but havent flexed their muscles yet with a 1-2 record, but their big win was against Doubleview. Manning have a good record away from home having won both of their games albeit over Warnbro and North Beach.
So who wins? Tough game to predict, either result will not surprise. Mosman Park have been extremely competitive as they try and stay in the Premier League. Last week was an aberration in an otherwise solid season and I think they will get back on tracks this week. But it won't be enough to win, I'm going for Manning in a tight one
Manning 6-2

OSBORNE PARK v SOUTH PERTH

SOUTH PERTH
S Walker, N Reagan, D Mortley, T Reid
G Pauling, T Alberti, M Biglin, D Angell
J Opie, T Antonio, T Kinnane, K Pride
R Bresland, N Griffin, S Kelly, F Anderson
INS: J Opie
OUTS: R Havercroft

Another match where we will be keen to see the results, 3rd placed South Perth travel to 6th placed Osborne Park, South Perth have an opportunity to win and entrench themselves into the fours, Osborne Park may actually overtake South Perth with a 8-0 win, but failing that a win will certainly close the gap and place them above those teams 4th and 5th teams should they lose. Justin Opie of course returns to the South Perth team at the expense of Ryan Havercroft. Osborne Park changes unknown at this stage.
This game has a bit of extra spice with the dramas of Sharpie Gate coming between both clubs last week so this could get real at some points. Outside of that the game is important for both teams as well in regards to ladder placements, so a crunch game coming in Round 7 for these teams. Both teams in form are hard to stop but both have been a bit up and down which makes predicting the winner a bit tough. Going for the home side here
Osborne Park 6-2

DOUBLEVIEW v WARNBRO

DOUBLEVIEW
R Moyle, B White, G Faulkner, T Whitfield
C Slavich, C Bessant, A Tennant, A Wetzler
K McIlroy, S Gosstray, S Cerff, E Galipeau
J Slavich, B Brandsma, R Haring, J Barry
INS: No change
OUTS:

WARNBRO
L Strange, C Biddle, L Kellow, D Wagstaff
B Kalinowsky, J Hudson, M Wilson, D Kitson
W Baker, D Pattullo, I Gibson, J Maley
K Cousens, Dr G Jackson, S Christie, P Guelfi
INS: No change
OUTS:

This game has horror story written all over it, Doubleview in deft touch at the moment and Warnbro coming off their maiden win for the season but this is new level again, Doubleview at Doubleview will be a mission too high. No changes for either side as well.
Yes going to be tough for Warnbro here. Last year they lost by 36 shots and 0 points, this year they are weaker and Doubleview about the same, no Scott Edmonds but they do have Stewart Gosstray, so about the same. I can't see how Warnbro again get any points here.
Doubleview 8-0

KARDINYA v NORTH BEACH

KARDINYA
D Brown, B Henley, D Wood, S West
K McKay, R Foy, D Flintoff, K Stower
S Novak, M Abonnel, D Radford, J Terrell
D Rankin, P Davies, D Golem, D Comrie
INS: No change
OUTS:

NORTH BEACH
M Douthie, R Dempsey, R Hutchinson, J Clayton
R Kuziela, L Mitten, R Hunter, L Mola
J McGinlay, B Gillingham, P Retallack, M Buttel
P Walker, M Sear, G Devenish, G Yabuka
INS: G Yabuka
OUTS: R Aitken

Kardinya sit 8th but I think it's a false position as they have a huge amount of talent in their back end department and they are back home and hosting North Beach after their huge win last week over Mosman Park where Kardinya were huge losers to Bassendean away. Kardinya are a much better side at home though and this will be a more even contest. Glenn Yabuka returns for North Beach and Richard Aitken drops out, no changes at the Kattery
I think Kardinya will win this one. But I don't think it will be a whitewash, North Beach have been very solid so far this year and quite competitive and they will push Kardinya all the way, but I think the class of Rankin, Brown, McKay and Novak will be too much and they should too many aces
Kardinya 7-1

CAMBRIDGE v BASSENDEAN

CAMBRIDGE
L Strahan, B Nairn, M Bolton, N Bolton
S Perica, N Lewis, D Jones, D Leeson
C Adams, C Harris, A Foster, L Bolton
P Harris, S Rushforth, C Wooldridge, R Bolton
INS: C Adams
OUTS: H Christensen

BASSENDEAN
D Nicholls, N Smith, D Killisch Von Horn, A Elmer
B Manton, S Fewster, L Pike, R Kenyon
D Rhodes, C Margin, M Simpson, W Neilson
S Alden, S Davies, R Ellis, M Whitely
INS: D Rhodes, L Pike
OUTS: L McKay, P Harber

We travel to Cambridge and again we compete for the Pup Cup, the memorial game for Daniel Patterson. It is a home and away Cup, the game at Bassendean will be played on a Friday night so this game sets up that match as to who may hold that trophy for 12 months. Cambridge currently hold it, courtesy of an 8-0 belting in round 1 last year, but I don't think it will be quite that one-sided this year. Clive Adams is back for Cambridge and Harold Christensen goes out, while for Bassendean they welcome back David Rhodes and Linton Pike while Paul Harber and Lloyd McKay the unfortunate players to miss out.
Adams will be a welcome addition for the Knights and at home this will be a very tight game. They started the year so strongly but have dropped off lately so they will be looking at this game as a way to get back up the ladder as they sit 7th but only 1 point off 4th. Bassendean sit on top with their good home win last week and the surprising Doubleview loss and they will be looking to keep that gap between them and everyone else. Rhodes is in super form this year and his return will be handy for this game. My rink is travelling nicely and remain undefeated, but every win is closer to a loss, so we won't be taking the foot off the pedal. Dan Nicholls also having a good year and Beau Manton will want to bounce back after last weeks loss. It should be a good game, I'm looking forward to it.
Basso of course!
