Alcolizer

Sorry folks, this Round caught me out as I was fully convinced we would not be playing this weekend & I only put up the REVIEW from last Saturday today (if anyone wants to reminiscence).
Huge round for those at the top after some of the higher sides dropped some critical points over the last few weeks to allow 3rd 4th to close the gap, so it's game on from here for the PL spots.

After what the Bay did last weekend this one is an easy choice. The Magpies are ok at home but only running 50/50 on the wins, however of the losses they were pretty close so I expect this game to be close enough on the home stretch but it'll take a very good Magpies performance to grab the Agg here against a genuine top side.
The Bay have probably worked out that 1st play 2nd next Round so if they grab the maximum here they are prime possie for at least 2nd spot if they win at home in R14.
Safety Bay 7 - 1

QUINNS ROCKS v BASSENDEAN

C Parr, D Rogers, C Bartle, S Newbey
M Hinchcliffe, S Smith, T Burrows, S Cavanagh
J Berecz, B Crawford, R Cole, L Johnson
IN: W Fairjones, P Wernicke
OUT: D Rogers, S Newbey

BASSENDEAN
J Krstic, J Morss, M Potente, N Kirkup
T Lynch, B Tie, W Davidson, M Watson
A Caccioppoli, E O'Sullivan, G Needs, M Bessant
R Revell, M Erceg, H Goddard, B Dinnison

OUT: No changes

It would be very surprising if the Lions got close to Quinns in this one as the Quinns have a very strong home record. The only game they lost was against Gosnells by 1 shot & they have taking all the big scalps at home. If they sorted their Away record they would be easily looking at a run for PL. Quinns have made 2 changes this weekend with Fairjones & Wernicke dropped for Rogers & Newbey to try & help Parr break that 3 from 4 losses & a big loss last Round.
Basso could probably improve on the away form & with the expected strong winds the weekend I'm finding it difficult to back them. Only 2 from 6 away isn't where they would want to be but they're averaging 76shots & some of those losses were very close.
Quinns Rocks 7 - 1

The Roo's will be itching to get out this weekend & make amends for last weekend where they never really showed against a good outfit down the Kwinana. Having a full game ahead would be huge at the stage but alias it's neck & neck at the top which is very exciting & makes a difference to last year when Sorrento were home & hosed early in the season.
Should be simple bread & butter here for the Roo's but if the Kats grab an early lead & the rain comes hard they might hold on for an upset.
As we're said before, the Kats are actually better away from home, than playing at home & the Roo's are not known for putting away teams to the sword playing on their home turf so let's see.
I fancy the Roo's easy enough & I really only see their R14 game as the only major challenge they will encounter from here to R18.

Seems an easy win here for Warnbro but I still have Warnbro losing another 1 game before we finish R18 so I think they'll need to grab all points on offer here against the bottom side. Losing 2 of the last 3 will be hurting them but they put around 30 shots on the Saints in R4 so they'll be confident of getting at least 7pts here. Both top sides have a bread & butter game this Round then they clash for what will arguably be the game of the season.
The Saints were great last Round & grabbed their first away win of the season so that will give them some confidence heading into this game, where they’ll be looking for a couple of points & hope others around them drop points again.
Warnbro 7 - 1

The Mossies need to build on last week's win here as they are still only 2 from the last 5 & that's not going to get them into Finals, although in saying that, they are joint 3rd on the ladder so I've given up guessing this year.
The Kookaburra's are nearly the opposite, yes they dropped the last Round but that was against a very good unit & previously had 4 on the trot, so they are playing better coming out of the first half of the season.
