The Cougars look pretty good to me, and with the home ground advantage and a good steady sixteen, they should win comfortably. They have a couple of additions and seem to have retained most of last year’s players. The Ravens on the other hand have lost some good cattle.

The Millers should win this one easily, against a side who struggle on synthetic. The Hawks have lost some big artillery, whilst the Millers are suitably strengthened with the addition of some good bowlers.
South Perth. 7-1

OUTS:

A massive home ground advantage to the Kats should see them kick start their quest to regain First White again. The Lions are always about the place though, with their two very good skips in Newton and Vandersluys at the helm again. It is amazing how the Lions seem to retain most of their players, a credit to them. A lot of good players in both sides, but Kardinya is not a kind green to visitors.
Kardinya 7-1

A dream draw here with last year’s finalists kicking the competition off. Apart from the final game last season the Eagles normally dominate the Mariners. I expect that to continue again, especially with the good new players at the Eagles.
Eagles 7-1

This game is very hard to pick, as both of these teams possess players who are new to this division. The home ground advantage just might give Hollywood the edge. Dave Malkin at yet another club I see. I don’t know much about the Hollywood players, but I have heard reports that they have some very handy players. When I glance thru the Cats players, I see a vast amount of experience, so a surprise might happen
Hollywood 7-1
