(Daniel Newton 28 - Rue Bishop 7) (Eddie Gollan 10 - Mark Beauchamp 24) (Hugh McKay 12 - Lachlan Smith 21) (Stewart Gosstray 24 - Michael Rickard 15)
Armadale in a close one against Gosnells but in the end they prevailed to secure 6 valuable points. It looks like both Kevin McKay and Daniel Brown missing on the weekend and this gave Daniel Newton the opportunity to step up and that he did with a 21 shot win over Rue Bishop. Both Lachlan Smith and Mark Beauchamp were good winners for Gosnells but it was not quite enough to claim the aggregate. Armadale remain top of the ladder and off to Cockburn next week whilst Gosnells back at home to take on Willetton in a must win match for them.
Dalkeith Nedlands 97 (7) vs Rockingham 68 (1)
(Darren Redeckis 31 - Bruce Edwards 12) (Jesse Brown 11 - Bradley Cole 29) (Martin Saunders 28 - Marcus Simpson 19) (Michael Yates 27 - Mark Devenny 8)
Dalkeith also very comfortable in the end as they secured a 29 shot victory over Rockingham at home. It was Darren Redeckis, Martin Saunders and Michael Yates all back in the winner’s circle with strong wins whilst the in form Bradley Cole and his team comfortably accounted for the Jesse Brown rink to provide 1 point for the Rockingham side. Dalkeith jump from 9th place to 6th place on the ladder with that win whilst Rockingham drop out of the top 3 on the ladder for the first time this season. Rockingham back at home next week looking to bounce back against an in form South Perth unit whilst Dalkeith face the long trek to Safety Bay in search of a valuable away win.
Kardinya 84 (6) vs Safety Bay 77 (2)
(Aaron Gale 19 - Ron Hall 21) (Darryl Flintoff 11 - Raymond Kennedy 19) (Garry Knight 29 - Raymond Clark 17) (Stephen Vinci 25 - Steven Adams 20)
Well it looks like Safety Bay put up another strong contest away at Kardinya but in the end they fell just short of claiming the win. The in form Vinci Rink were victorious again and Garry Knight joined the party with a 12 shot win over Raymond Clark to help secure the aggregate for Kardinya. For the Safety Bay side it was Ray Kennedy who was the best performer with an 8 shot win over Freddie Flintoff. Kardinya now well entrenched into the top 3 and next week they must travel to Rossmoyne whilst Safety Bag back at home taking on Dalkeith.
South Perth 101 (6) vs Cockburn 64 (2)
(Farley Anderson 33 - Mark (Sydney) Game 10) (Neale Griffin 17 - James Wylie 18) (Steve Kelly 23 - Paul Brotherston 26) (Wayne Bezant 28 - Derek Gibson 10)
A comfortable 37 shot win overall to South Perth but just 6 points to show for it at the end of the day. Cockburn will be pleased to walk away with 2 points courtesy of two narrow wins from James Wyllie and Paul Brotherston. For South Perth it was Farley Anderson and Wayne Bezant who came away with significant wins to help secure the overall victory. South Perth back into the top 3 on the ladder and they are travelling along nicely. Next week they are back on the road and travel to Rockingham in what could be a season defining clash for both teams. Cockburn back at home but it will not be easy as they take on top of the table Armadale.
Willetton 63 (1) vs Rossmoyne 102 (7)
(Alan Walters 23 - Rawley Lang 21) (Cameron Girvan 16 - Craig Edson 19) (Gavin Dodge 11 - Anthony Churcher 37) (Justin Wright 13 - Raymond Halse 25)
Well each week there seems to be a surprise result and this week it was the previously winless Rossmoyne taking care of business away at Willetton. I can only imagine that just prior to this match Mayor Lang must have delivered one of his inspiring speeches to get the troops up and about, either that or he read the riot act to them. It matters not as Rossmoyne very comfortable in the end by 39 shots including the 26 shot win by Anthony Chircher over Gavin Dodge. With that defeat Willetton slump to 8th position on the ladder and next week they head to Gosnells to try and get their season back on track. Rossmoyne back at home to take on the high flying Kardinya side in another challenging match for them.
