Exciting round ahead and its sure going to be a hot one. We have a top of the table clash, 2 of the beef teams up against each other and a couple trying to keep their finals hopes alive. Let’s have a look at this week’s match ups.
SORRENTO v SOUTH PERTH

SOUTH PERTH
G Pauling, R Havercroft, S West, J Galipo
S Walker, M Biglin, N Griffin, O Dawson
J Carter, P Davies, L Moretti, D Angell
J Opie, M Sear, J Wardrop, J Percival INS: G Pauling OUTS: R Bresland
The Millers after their great win at home last week head on the road to take on Sorrento. If they can win this one, 3 more home wins should be enough to see them play finals. John Carter getting another crack at the skipper’s role and Glenn Pauling makes his return taking over from Bresland who is out this week. Sorrento who are now in 10th spot really need a win considering the other 2 teams in the beef play each other. They haven’t won since round 5 and really need to find something on their home track if they are any hope of hanging on.
Sth Perth 6-2

Top of the table clash and it’s a battle of the synthetics as the Knights host Mt. Lawley. The Knights can reclaim top spot with a win and will be looking to back up last weeks performance. Clive Adams comes back into the line up as Blake Nairn is in the UK for the world indoor. Mt Lawley, now the real test starts for them as they have 6 of the next 7 games on the road. They will go in confident and wouldn’t be a surprise if they got up but I’m going with the home side.
Cambridge 6-2

Even though the top 2 sides are playing each other, this one is the match of the round for me. During the break going through the draw I had this one that may determine whether Manning make the finals. If they lose this one they will be 2 aggregates out of the 4 and a tough road ahead if they want to go the three peat. For the visitors John ‘The Difference’ Slavich will lead the way looking to get their 3rd straight win since his return. The Eagles have lost the last 2 and will treat this as a final in order to keep their finals hopes alive so im going to go the home side.
Manning 6-2
OSBORNE PARK v BASSENDEAN

5th vs 6th as the Saints host the Lions. It’s a big one for both with the winner still in the hunt to play finals. The Saints were 4 on the trot until last week but will be confident on their home track. For the Lions, they’ve lost their last 3 and have blown a couple of big leads and have made plenty of positional changes plus Stein Davies makes his return to play for 3 for Neilson. I think the Saints will be too strong.
Osborne Park 7-1

Down the bottom we go and only half a point separates the two as the Dolphins host Nth Beach. North Beach have won their last 2 at home and although they have a horrible away record in premier league if they can find a way to win this can get out of the beef for the first time. The Dolphins, 2 out of their 3 wins has come thanks to the rink lead by Ben Leggatt, they need to find a bit more consistency as a side. They will be looking for as many points possible here today.
