The heat was on and we were off! No changes to the ladder and maybe some sides missing out on some valuable points but hopefully it’s the only game to get called of this season. We have a couple of Friday night games this week so let’s get into the match ups.

Match of the round and the first of our Friday night games sees the Saints hosting the top of the table Mt Lawley. The Saints missing out on some home points last week but get another crack to put some pressure on the top 4 if they can beat the leaders. Mt Lawley had a Friday night home game at Ozzie Park a few rounds ago and took care of Doubleview in that encounter. No Jack East for the home side but I still think they can walk away with a win tonight.
Osborne Park 6-2

The second of the Friday night matches and it’s the Millers hosting Nth Beach. Sth Perth have a very good record against Nth Beach and a good win for them tonight could push them into the top pending on results. Glenn Pauling is back into the line up taking over from Ross Bresland who is now playing 2. Nth Beach after the week off have some form after 2 wins at home and have beaten the Millers before on their home track in previous years. Nth Beach will be competitive and will challenge the Millers I believe but its Sth Perth for me.
Sth Perth 7-1

The Knights unfortunately not getting to host the top of the table clash last week but remain at home as they take on the Dolphins. Blake Nairn comes back into the side and a solid win today could see them back on top of the ladder. The Dolphins would also be disappointed not getting to play against Nth beach at home and now have a real task on their hands. I think the home side may get the clean sweep.
Cambridge 8-0

Wowee! This a big one for these 2 sides. 6th placed Lions hosting the 7th placed Eagles. I’ve tipped the 4 sides above these 2 to all win their match and if so the loser of this is just about goneski in making the finals. The Lions have made a few changes to their side and really need to get back on track on their home deck after losing their last two. The Eagles must win this I feel if they want to defend their crown and I think they will put the finals form into play today and get the win.
Manning 6 -2

Our final game of the round at the View host Sorrento. Doubleview in extremely good form over recent weeks and will be looking to continue that today. Sorrento can play quite freely today as the go in the underdogs and any points at all would be handy for the visitors. Unfortunately, I think I’ve got more chance of walking to the moon then an upset happening here today and could quite possibly be a duck egg.
