Just 3 rounds to go and it’s still all to play for heading into finals. While its still hard to tell who will finish where we have some big matches coming up and we have a beauty this Friday night as Sth Perth host the Mt Lawley. Down the other end of the ladder the Dolphins host the Eagles in another fixture that will determine both their fate but let’s have a look into this weeks matches.

D Rowland, T Ingram, A Elmer, K Scott
D Trewhella, S Loftus, A Einfeld, P Park

OUTS:

Match of the round and what a belter this is going to be. The Millers with the way the draw has worked out are playing their 6th consecutive match at home which gives them a great opportunity for a home finals if they can their next 2 matches. Mt Lawley have everything to play for here as Doubleview awaits them in the next round. These 2 sides played out a draw their first round and I think whatever happens with the Trewhella rink will determine the result of this game.
Sth Perth 6-2

Cambridge returning home this week to take on Nth Beach. They have 2 out of the last 3 at home and will be looking for a good win to set themselves up for the finals. Nth Beach after a good win at home against Mt Lawley last week only have one more game at home. For Nth beach to survive they are going to have to win an away game and can also make things difficult for the Knights should they cause an upset but I can’t see that happening today.
Cambridge 7-1

BASSENDEAN v DOUBLEVIEW

BASSENDEAN
D Rhodes, S Jocelyn, M Watson, L McKay
R Kenyon, A Southern, P Hutchinson, B Tie
T Kinnane, S Alden, R Ellis, T Alden
W Neilson, L Pike, G Stokes, D Snelgar
INS: No changes
OUTS:

DOUBLEVIEW

C Slavich, R Bates, B Willesee, G Nelson
R Moyle, B White, B Pearce, B Griffiths
K McIlroy, T Whitfield, S Cerff, G Faulkner
INS: No changes
OUTS:

Bassendean returning to the Den for the next 2 rounds taking on Doubleview this week. The Lions haven’t won a game since beating the View back in round 7 and would really want to find some home form to finish off the season. Doubleview have only lost one game since then and will be looking to get square. With a top 2 finish in their sights, it’s the visitors for me.
Doubleview 7-1

OSBORNE PARK v SORRENTO

OSBORNE PARK
J East, D Marsland, C Orchard, G Nicol
S Pasalich, K Pickering, G Caffell, C Alberti
S Mawdsley, R Brown, A Pasalich, T Massang
J Goddard, T Alberti, C Schell, K Carr
INS: C Biddle
OUTS: G Nicol

SORRENTO
R Cunningham, R Rogers, I Linford, M Sharrett
R Butler, S Wattleworth, P Morgan, S Mortimer
B Eagles, S Buckley, P Flack, G Taylor
P Knight, M Hulbert, P Augustson, G Murray
INS: S Mortimer
OUTS: M Douglass

The Saints with a great win over Manning last week return home to take on Sorrento. Segan Pasalich with his great win over Cody Packer see him retain his skipper’s spot. It’s been their home games that have let them down this season but will be looking to finish off their season strongly. Sorrento who are coming 2 wins at home have hit a bit of form and every point is vital for them heading into the last couple of rounds. Saints for me to get over the line.
Osborne Park 7 -1

JOONDALUP v MANNING

JOONDALUP
C Leggett, J Groves, T Vlahos, M Cheesman
W Neilson, M Korycin, B Cody, F Tyson
B Leggett, P Kain, E Dardango, W Clatworthy
P Daley, S Niven, J Hunter, C Bell
INS: E Dardengo
OUTS: S Deering

MANNING
S Knott, M Wunnenberg, A Lill, J Angel
T Mitchell, S O'Brien, M Kemp, N Rees
N Jones, A Heal, P Ker, J Butler
C Packer, S Perica, M Ellis, J Titheradge
INS: S Perica, N Rees, J Titheradge
OUTS: D Downey, L Grigg, B Butler

Our final game of the round and it’s the Dolphins hosting the Eagles. Joondalup with a huge effort last week almost getting up over Doubleview but only walking away with a point. They sit 7 and a half points behind Sorrento and need to try and get within a couple before they host them in the last round. Manning while losing last week were given a lifeline having results going their way. The equation is simple for them need to win all 3 of their matches. The Ben Leggatt rink has done very well this season and will need to be on again today, but I am going to go with the Eagles.
Manning 6-2
