Ok no more predictions this round, let’s make it easy & just back all 5 home teams. No away wins expected as surely all teams have worked out 2 simply things….win 56% on the road & 89% at home & you play in 1 Red or win 56% at home & 22% away and you get to play in 1 White next year. Simply maths but harder to deliver. Either way many teams are being far more charitable at home & it needs to stop in R5.
KARDINYA v GOSNELLS

G Lynch, C Hickinbotham, M Rickard, L Paterson IN: No changes OUT:
The Kats to win & saying much more is pointless or a waste of time & words. Properly not so facetious but if the next few weeks continue as the last 4 Rounds, then we’re calling this early.
Gosnells were good last week at home but they’ll need to step up a few gears here, which they can & have done in the past but their rink on rink spread trend is way off from the last few years so if they have 1 blow out rink here the Agg will evaporate in a flash.
Kardinya 7 - 1
BASSENDEAN v LEEMING
BASSENDEAN
A Southern, R D'Souza, S Colegate, N Kirkup
N Strachan, B Dinnison, A Britton, J Holman
E O'Sullivan, N Hall, G Malaspina, S Bermingham
S Jocelyn, T Lynch, D Killisch Von Horn, A Parravicini IN: D Blight OUT: N Strachan
LEEMING
G Fewings, P Hickey, B Eather, M Bowden
K Vandersluys, P Boys, T Higham, W Birrell
G Ford, J Bowden, D Johnson, N Bennetts
J Newton, G Burgess, A Andersson, L Mundri IN: R Bellis OUT: M Bowden
The Lions v Lions this round & this game could have a significant impact for both sides. Basso need the points fairly desperately & Leeming need to continue that away form after dropping a few at home.
2nd placed side Leeming are playing the bottom of the ladder so surely this is an easy win for Leeming?! Yes Leeming probably should win this & might do so in convincing fashion but I think Basso might need this Agg more but they’ll need to bring the fight to get a W on the 2nd best side.
Bassendean 6 - 2
SAFETY BAY v MANNING
SAFETY BAY
G Smith, R Hall, G Hodges, A Ballard
G Taylor, C Owen, S Foran, J Brannan
C Carruthers, M Mortensen, J Thorington, J Hanafee
Z Boddy, T Parker, T Southern, K Cuttell IN: Z Boddy, T Southern, K Cuttell OUT: S Hide, G Ogg, T Bochat
MANNING
M Carey, L Herbert, R Ker, J Moulton
P Smith, A Taylor, P Herbert, N Rees
W Heldt, B Adams, Glen O'Brien, M Ellis
S Perica, Graham O'Brien, K Jolly, A Macpherson IN: M Carey, B Adams OUT: S Lambert, G Hogg
GAME OF THE ROUND: probably not game of the round in the traditional block buster sense but more around the impact on finishing Finals spot.
The Bay should put this away at home but the Eagles have been solid on the road so this could swing either way. The Bay have been less than convincing at home with 1 single shot up on home percentage after a draw & 1pt win. The Eagles away last time took the Agg at Basso so they wouldn’t mind travelling the 2 day camel ride to Safety Bay.
Safety Bay 6 - 2
COCKBURN v MOSMAN PARK
COCKBURN
M Simunovic, L Onley Jnr, D Bandy, D Gurr
M Abonnel, J Ricci, B Blagaich, B Dropulic
T Krajancic, J Marevic, I Mateljak, M Musulin
W Tepania, P Brotherston, D Ravlich, J Kop IN: T Krajancic OUT: V Dropulic
MOSMAN PARK
C Hoffman, D Adams, J Townsend, M Van Bemmel
M Cranswick, K Stower, B Judge, D Burges
M Robertson, T Cranswick, S Carmody, N Parker
S Swanson, R Kershaw, M Weis, A O'Sullivan IN: B Judge, M Weis OUT: M Bright, J Pallett
Pretty daunting task for Mossies & history tells us this fixture hasn’t been kind to them so this one could get a little messy. However, the Titans are not putting teams to the sword like last year so it might be a great time to get the jump on them.
The Titans did well last week away so these home game need to be maximum points to get their season back on track.
Cockburn 8 - 0
DOUBLEVIEW v ROSSMOYNE

Slightly worried about both these sides but I’ll hold opinions to after next weekend. Both were poor last week dropping Aggs but the View have probably had the bigger scalps which probably isn’t too hard when your opponents haven’t won a game yet. However, the View have won 2, yet they’re only 5pts ahead so go figure.
If the River Rats bring what they brought at The Bay then The View will be seriously challenged but Rossmoyne away needs some further tyre pumping before we can back them away.
