Apologies on the tardiness with no R5 review, work has been hectic. Huge R6 ahead & as most know we will be trying our best to crack up the ancient Predictor Machine post R6 which seems to be a highlight of the season for many. Very exciting to see what Sat afternoon looks like as we predict this weather could have a big part to play in what happens tomorrow.

GAME OF THE ROUND: The Lions were good against the View in their last home game but this will be a different affair in a top of the table clash. 1st v 2nd here in this blockbuster. If the Kats win this then I'm calling it super early....Kats go back to 1 Red, simple.
Kardinya get a big Agg win here & they'll be double scores ahead of Leeming & with Safety Bay having a tricky fixture it would be fair to say they would be double scores ahead of the entire division.
Leeming will need a huge performance to dismantle the only unbeaten side left in 1 White & only Kalamunda are the only other unbeaten side in the top 4 divisions, how long can they remain unbeaten for. The longer they go, the bigger the target. Weirdly Leeming have won more away games than home games but they'll be right up for this one knowing that a big Agg gets them close to the No.1 contenders & might get them dreaming of aiming for that golden ticket to the big dance. Leeming might also be keen on rolling the dice for a draw to hedge their bets as there's rumours that someone might accidentally pop the thermometer in with the pre-games pies tomorrow to ensure abandonment.

From the ladder it's 3rd plays 10th so the Bay should walk away with this one with the possibility of at least 7pts, maybe 8pts. However, as much as the Kookaburra's are hurting they are no walkovers & will be extra keen on getting off the bottom. If they don't & Mossies & The View win then they'll be nearly 2 games of a gap & at this early stage that's a huge gap to pull back considering they do not even wish to finish 8th or 7th as they'll need 6th for safety.
Unfortunately they'll be no safety from Safety Bay as they'll be gunning to build on a good win last week & a marginally loss away the week before when they got everything except the Agg off Mossies. Margins are very tight this year (unless you're Kardinya) so both sides will need to fight for every shot. I might regret this but I'm going with the bottom side here based on both sides being miles apart (10pts) on the ladder but yet both have only won 2 games. The Bay haven't won away from home this season but do normally play well away but Gosnells are normally great at home but yet have only won 1 game this season, so surely they can dig deep to get this one over the line or I feel we'll all start to get concerned for their safety

Tough game to predict as both sides are within 0.5pt of each other so this could swing either way. The View has been very solid at home & Basso equally wobbly away. However drops this one probably stays within the bottom few for at least up the Xmas as gaps will appear. I'm struggling a little to pick the home side as I think Basso have the back end to put them under real pressure but Doubleview have played very well at home to date, until last week, so let's marginally go with the home side but I think Basso can absolutely nab an Agg here. This one should be very close.

Pretty simple maths for the home side after dropping all 3 Home games so far this season. 0-3 at home is just killing the River Rats on the ladder & they have a good opportunity to write that wrong this weekend. Yes some of the games were very close but they'll really need to go 6-6 at home if they wish to stay up. That said they had a monster away win last week so bringing that form into this week will help a lot.
Mossies are 2nd from bottom & not travelling as well as predicted. They have got touched up properly in 2 of their 3 away games so this is a going concern as those opportunities for a close Agg or grabbing at least 2pts. They have only 3pts from the last 24pts on the road & even though this game will be close, it might be worth wagering that they'll be 1 blow out rink which would be a margin too much for either side to give away. Close contest but possibly the River Rats by 19.

Massive game for both sides as Manning drops down a little & Cockburn bursts up from the foot of the ladder. There are only sides with 3 wins so Manning is unlucky not to be sitting 3rd but even 4th would be fine for them come Finals. The Eagles got rolled last week & destroyed the week before against Kardinya so they'll be keen to get back to winning ways, especially at home.
The Titans still only have 2 wins on the board heading into R6 & they'll know that's not Finals material. Both these sides have firm Finals ambitions so this result will carry. Only 2pts separate them & given a shaky start by both this one is very hard to call. Cockburn away should be a complete write-off so this one should easily go to the home side but it will be close. I think the Titans can get very close but if I tip them away again they'll surely get rolled so going with the home side who are settling into 1 White quite nicely.
Manning 6 - 2
