OUTS: M Thomas, G McDonald

Fremantle on the improve take on 2nd placed Kalamunda in an important match for both sides. The Fremantle side seems a lot more settled now and they have performed we at home in recent weeks. They will be desperate for a win to try and get themselves out of the danger zone. Kalamunda just one point off top spot and they will definitely want the win here as well in order to keep the pressure on Vic Park for the all important top position. I think this will be closer than most people expect but in the end Kalamunda have too much to play for and I expect their overall class will get them home in the end.
Kalamunda 6-2

WARNBRO v VICTORIA PARK CARLISLE

D Florance, M Simms, P Long, C McKay
INS: D Florance
OUTS: M Adams

This is our match of the day with top of the table Vic Park travelling to the Warnbro fortress for what will no doubt be very close battle. Vic Park with 6 wins in a row vs Warnbro yet to lose at home this season so something has to give. Having said this Warnbro were a little shaky at their most recent home fixture with a narrow 1 shot win against Fremantle. It prompted club management to launch and internal investigation to see what had gone wrong although nothing could be found other than a below par performance. The inclusion of Cousins is a huge boost for Warnbro and with Dr G firing this season they will be tough to beat at home. I expect again that this will be very close but the Vic park team looks touch too strong and I expect that they will record win number 7.
Vic Park 6-2

SOUTH PERTH v THORNLIE

SOUTH PERTH
M McRae, T Reid, T Percival, G Bennett
F Anderson, M Petrich, D Reagan, J Cunningham
D Mortley, G Reagan, B Roelefs, G Bovell
P Holmes, W Bezant, R Negus, J Terrell
INS: T Reid, B Roelefs
OUTS: D Calvo, K Townley

THORNLIE
D Slade, R Carruthers, P Riggio, A Payne
N Holden, M Forrester, M Stokes, J Mitchell
M Yates, G Vaughan, J Thorn, A Williams
M Separovich, J Stean, C Penaluna, D Cooper
INS: No change
OUTS:

Two teams both sitting towards the wrong end of the ladder (probably somewhat unexpectedly) and a win is critical to both teams to get themselves out of relegation territory. South Perth decimated by injuries in recent weeks and finding it hard to plug all of the holes at the minute. However the return of Reid and Roleofs this week are both important inclusions and should certainly help this week. Thornlie also not travelling well and have poor results away from home. This should also be another nail biter but at home I am going to go with South Perth to record a narrow win.
South Perth 6-2

KARDINYA v ROCKINGHAM

KARDINYA
I Barrie, G Knight, M Ayres, M West
G White, D Wood, J Rochford, J Edgar
N Ball, R Knapp, A McCullagh, L Phillips
C Vinci, S Vinci, R McNamara, S Garner
INS: J Rochford, S Garner
OUTS: S Vassallo, W Lee

ROCKINGHAM
B Edwards, K Tremlett, J Lethlean, T Rubery
R McIlveen, P Villa, I Barrett, S Wales
L Atkins, G Roberts, I Wright, D Poole
M Simpson, S Currie, T Threlfall, K Fyles
INS: No change
OUTS:

Kardinya have fallen off the pace in recent weeks after a promising start to the season. They take on the impressive Rockingham outfit that are performing well and now up to 4th place on the ladder. A few weeks back Kardinya would have been warm favourites at home but after the past few weeks I am not sure. Rockingham seem to be able to play well no matter what the venue and this is a good sign given that they are new to one blue south. But I am going to give Kardinya one more chance at home to turn things around and expect them to record a narrow victory over the weekend.
Kardinya 6-2

DALKEITH NEDLANDS v FORRESTFIELD

DALKEITH NEDLANDS
L Richardson, R Moran, D Redeckis, R Kelly
M Saunders, K Macpherson, P Jeanes, J Shaw
Jesse Brown, J Morgan, S Gazia, B Owen
A Foster, M Zusman, D Fitzgerald, M Joyce
INS: K Macpherson, S Gazia
OUTS: A Gryta, M Green

FORRESTFIELD
J Weppner, C Holland, J Alderton, F Gore
B Wicks, M Garner, J Parker, H Rabey
R Tillemans, M Vatri, L Stedman, L Delcaro
R Cummings, T Tillemans, R Carr, J Tillemans
INS: J Alderton, J Parker
OUTS: A Keegan, J Forrest

Another very important game for both teams who sit mid table at this point in the season. Both teams seem to be able to win at home but struggle away so on that basis Dalkeith probably start as favourites. The Dalkeith team looks a little weaker this week with the loss of Gryta and Green both back end players. Forrestfield have an experienced stable side and I am going to tip an upset this week and expect Forrestfield to win in another close match.
Forrestfield 5-3
