First game back for the second half and no changes at the top with the top 4 all winning. We have seen a change at the bottom of the ladder, although there is only 1.5 points separating the 3 teams. Let’s go through the results for round 10
North Beach 85 (8) vs Sorrento 50 (0)
(Chris Margin 22 - Bruce Eagles 19) (Gavin Crosthwaite 17 - Paul Knight 9) (Joe McGinlay 21 - Ross Cunningham 12) (Mark Douthie 25 - Rhett Butler 10)
Nth beach returning to some home form as they have dished out a duck egg to Sorrento claiming all 4 rinks and a 35 shot margin. The win now closes the gap at the bottom of the ladder and gives Nth Beach a glimmer of hope of hanging on the premier. If they can strike an away win they would want it to be next week when they head to Joondalup. Sorrento in big strife and doesn’t get any easier as they host the Millers next week and need to getssome home wins if they hope to hang on
The Knights keeping themselves nicely in 2nd spot with 6 points on the road at the Den. The win for Pieter Harris over Kenyon by 16 was the damage and Nairn also getting a point with a 5 shot win over Kinnane. Big one for the Knights next week as they return home to take on Mt Lawley. 3rd straight loss for the Lions but remain in the hunt for a finals spot, they head to Osborne Park next week to take on the Saints.
Doubleview 80 (6) vs Osborne Park 57 (2)
(Anthony Williams 20 - Sean Mawdsley 13) (Charlie Slavich 18 - John Goddard 22) (Kyle McIlroy 16 - Kevin Pickering 18) (Ryan Moyle 26 - Jack East 4)
Doubleview remain in the top 4 taking care of the Saints at home. Ryan Moyle took charge with a very impressive 18 Shot win over Jack East, while Ant Williams getting over Sean Mawdsley by 7. They head to Manning next week and that one should be a ripper. 2 handy away points for the Saints and return home next week to take on the Lions.
South Perth 94 (7) vs Manning 66 (1)
(John Carter SP 26 - Cody Packer 13) (Justin Opie 27 - AJ Heal 17) (Ross Bresland 15 - Thomas Mitchell 23) (Scott Walker 26 - Shane Knott 13)
Dominant performance here for the Millers with a convincing 28 Shot win over the premiers. No Glenn Pauling but John Carter says no worries I’ll take care of matters, and that’s exactly what he did with a 13 shot win over Packer. Opie and Walker also getting strong wins and will go in confident when they head to Sorrento next week. Massive game next week for the Eagles as they host Doubleview.
Things going to plan here for Mt Lawley taking care of the Dolphins at home. The 26 shot win keeps them nicely place on top of the table. Now things get interesting for them as they have 6 of the next 7 away and it starts off next week when they head to Cambridge for a top of the table clash. The Dolphins host Nth Beach and a win will keep them out of the beef.
