North Perth will be out for revenge this week after falling to the Maggies last time out. The Pioneers have been the benchmark this season and will want to consoliodate their position at the top of the table with a good win here. Warwick have fallen into the bottom 4, so they need to get as many points as possible to keep in touch with the top 6. Although Warwick have shown they can be competitive in this division, North Perth at home will be a mountain too tall to climb – especially without Ledingham, and for their sake, I’ll tip them to get a hopeful point.
North Perth 7-1

Bottom placed North Beach host the Roos in this one with both teams needing a win. Wanneroo are teetering above the bottom 4 in 6th place and we all know, you don’t want to be 7th or lower in blue! North Beach are within an aggregate of 7th so they need to protect their home points and fight for a win here. If they can’t win this one, I think our bottom 2 has been decided for this year. It’s still hard for away teams to come away with aggregates at this ground and with Wanneroo going down to Sorrento a fortnight ago, I’m going to tip the home side to fight for a home win here and stay in the mix for accepting challenges from below come season’s end.
North Beach 6-2

Both these teams recorded good wins last time out and both with a lot to play for. Quinns remain in 3rd spot and will be looking to consolidate their position as they are no more than an agg in front of Warwick in 7th. Yokine are in 8th position and with North Beach having a home game this week, they could easily drop down into 9th with a loss here. The Doggies are unchanged after beating the Mounters last week and although the Quinns side is unnamed yet, I think it’ll be strong enough to get the job done over the Doggies this week.
Quinns 7-1

Look at those ins for Mount Lawley! Herriot, Park, Erceg and Scott! All PL quality players come in for this Mounters home game as they welcome the Swans to the Mounting Yard. Herriot and Park look to have swapped places for this one as Herriot takes on the skippers role. Scott and his perfect hair comes in to lead for the Irish Stallion and Erceg takes the scorecard for the second best looking Irishman in the team. Sorrento haven’t named their side yet, although I’m guessing it hasn’t changed too much with the usual suspects lining up. I’m going to tip the Mounters to remind everyone they are contenders this year with a full squad and get a decent win here
Mount Lawley 7-1

Bottom placed Doubleview host 2nd placed Cambridge in this one and although the ladder suggests this one is easy to pick, in my mind – far from! The Cambridge PL team has lost a couple of it’s better players so Paul has taken from Peter and Lewis and Duncanson head up to the PL team. Lofthouse takes a rink so I’m assuming he’s found some form recently and apart from that, all looks pretty similar. Doubleview have been showing signs of improvement, however they’ve got some heavy lifting to do if they have any hope of surviving this year. I’m going to pick somewhat of an upset here and I think Doubleview will start their run uphill this week.
