Kardinya forfeited top spot with their loss to Kalamunda at the most recent fixture but they will still give themselves a good chance of recovering this position over the next 4 rounds. However they will need to do so without the presence of top skipper Brad Henley who will not play for the remainder of the season. But they do welcome back his replacement Freddy Flintoff who is an experienced and capable replacement. They will fancy their chances this week against a travelling Warnbro side who apart from a recent win at Dalkeith have a very poor record on the road. At home Kardinya will be wanting a big win and they should take this one pretty comfortably.
Kardinya 8-0

Kalamunda would be pretty pleased post the win last week over Kardinya and a return to the top of the table. Hard to believe that they were able to record this win when leading shipper Bill Brandsma was on the end of a 20 shot defeat, his first for the season. My spies tell me that Brandsma was called into face the committee during the week to explain himself. I’m tipping the champ will bounce back pretty strongly this week knowing what is a stake. Thornlie heading into danger territory on the ladder and to have any hope that will need to win their 2 home games. However despite playing away I think Kalamunda will have too much class and come away with a good win.
Kalamunda 6-2

Rockingham back in good form on the road last week after a few weeks of sub par performances. They welcome back Marcus Simpson this week which can only help their chances. Simpson who is barely old enough to vote (make sure you do in fact vote before you head off to bowls this week) is a class player and he will be keen to finish off the season well. They will still have some hope of landing a top 3 spot and to do so they need to be winning this win. Which Dalkeith will turn up this week? At their best they can be very competitive as evidenced by a recent win over Kalamunda away from home. They will be looking to cause an upset and on paper they can give this a good shot but Rockingham back at home and back in form will be too good.
Rockingham 7-1

The Willetton side looks to be a team on mission and will be hard to remove from the coveted 3rd spot on the ladder where they currently sit. Apart from one blip a couple of weeks ago they have been competitive in pretty much every match. The key seems to be a very consistent 16 each week week and 4 very capable skippers. They come up against a Rossmoyne team that has probably underperformed over the course of the season but with 4 matches to go they still have time to turn things around. Mayor Lang is nothing if not determined and he will be impressing this exact message to his troops. I give Rossmoyne a sneaky chance in this one and Willetton will not want to take them lightly but at home Willetton should be too good.

Big match for both teams here. Cockburn still in with a chance a top 3 finish whilst Forrestfield will be keen to get out of relegation territory. Forrestfield will start as favourites in this one and Cockburn have so far a pretty poor record on the road. Cockburn selectors back in action this week with 3 changes whilst Forrestfield welcome back leading skipper Jarrad Weppner. With the Tillemnas family making up around half of the side i expect that they will be too good in this one.
