2nd plays 5th here as the Roos welcome the Magpies. Wanneroo picked up a huge 8 points away against Cambridge last week and Warwick got the job done against a strong Sorrento side. Both sides in good form and less than an aggregate separates the two. Sarich and Griffin come back in for the Roos and Sparrowhawk for the visitors. Toster and Ledingham both in the top three on the skippers table would be an exciting match. Should be a close one, but after their 8-0 win at the Stable last week, I think Wanneroo are looking too strong at the moment and could even finish the week on top of the table depending on how North Perth go.
Wanneroo 7-1

North Beach v Cambridge

Cambridge

David Phillips, Phillip McShane, Wallace Manning, Garry Hawkes
INS: Henning, Hawkes, Phillips
OUTS: Duncanson, Garlick, Fleay

The Knights travel to take on a North Beach side who took it to the ladder leading last week, pocketing two away points and giving them some sort of hope in reaching 8th position. They take on a Cambridge side who got belted last week at home and have dropped to the dreaded 7th position. Winning at North Beach is not easy and with two back end North Beach players coming in and after the Knight’s loss last week, I’ll tip the home side to come away with the choccies and maintain some hope of holding Blue.
North Beach 7-1

OUTS: Kelly, Robertson, Faigenbaum

Sorrento slipped up last week and have dropped from 2nd to 3rd and let the chasing pack gain some points on them. The Doggies have been showing some mongrel and have picked up some important wins lately and have created a gap between them and the bottom 2. Kelly misses this one for the visitors and with him out, I think Sorrento will win, and win well
Sorrento 7-1

INS: No changes
OUTS:

GAME OF THE ROUND as the High Flying Mounters take on ladder leaders North Perth. 7 points separate the two sides so there is much to play for – as well as the local rivalry bragging rights. Herriot is out this week as Jnr regains the skipper’s position and Hair still perfect Scott comes in after his week in PL (where he got the cans). The changes Mt Lawley made a few weeks back look to be paying off as they have mounted a late charge for the top 3. The Pioneers have been on top all year, and even with a bit of a form slump, they cannot be taken lightly and will take some beating. I think with the strength and extra experience the home side have, they will get the job done and depending on other results, could finish the round on top.
Mount Lawley 7-1

Doubleview v Quinns Rocks

OUTS: Pervan

Quinns Rocks

Lawrence Johnson, Glenn Mountford, Paul Dean, Shane Smith
Peter Wilson, David Eadie, Peter Wernicke, Derek Richmond
Paul Papadoloulos, Antony Burrows, Christopher Bartle, Hugh Ward
INS: Park, Wernicke
OUTS: Costello, Cantrill

Doubleview will unfortunately be playing 2nd division next season, however showed a lot of grunt last week, just going down to Yokine away. Quinns on the other hand got soundly beaten at home and will be licking their wounds. Quinns are still only 8 points outside the top 3, however with teams finding form around them, I think they’ll be struggling to make it. They need 8 points here to have any hope I reckon, however I don’t think this will happen and I’m picking somewhat of an upset and for the home side to finish the season with some pride.
Doubleview 6-2
