After an interesting opening round we head into round 2 with some great matchups. The top 2 teams square off while the Eagles host the Lions who both started the season with a win. Some important games also for clubs trying to avoid 0-2 early in the season but with that being said lets get into it with this weeks matchups.

What a cracking first game we have here with the Eagles hosting the Lions. Both teams won their opening encounter and will be looking to consolidate with a win today. Dave Downey is back in for the Eagles and takes the reigns over from Tommy Mitchell who will play 3. No change for the Lions and they will go in confident as they did beat Manning on their track last year. Tough one to pick this but I will go the home side just in a close one

Very surprising that both these sides lost last week as Doubleview host the Saints. Should be another good game this one with both wanting to get on the winner’s board. So much class in both sides but I can’t see Doubleview going down at home so im going to tip them to bounce back this week.
Doubleview 6-2

The Cats return back home for the first time this season as they host the Knights. Kardy I think will need to be good at home this season to hang on and will know where they are at with this on. The Knights just surviving a 1 rink win at home last week, but Jimmy Buchanan comes in to make his debut. The Knights line up looks really good I think they will be too strong for the home side
Cambridge 7-1

Geoff Murray, Ricky Hutchinson, Stephen Buckley, Rhett Butler (120W ,126L ,7D) INS: No change OUTS:
Match of the round and it’s a top of the table clash as the Mounters host Sorrento. Shane Knott is out this week as we see Mark Masel come back into the skippers role. For Sorrento well what a start for them last week with a big win over the premiers and will be going in pretty confident. If Sorrento win this one it would be another upset I would think but I gotta go the home side on this one.
Mt Lawley 7-1

Our final game of the round sees the Millers hosting Safety Bay. The Millers returning back home after their 1 shot loss last week however it was 3 handy points. Safety Bay had a horrid welcome back to premier with the ol duck egg but almost knocked off the Millers the last time they were here on tour. Sth Perth will be looking to get the job done today and I think they will do comfortably.
