Robert Burns, David Burns, Echo Widermanski, Martin Nievelstein
Neil Williams, Glen Jack, Harold Whitman, Kingsley Toster
Stuart Binnie, Noel Davey, Rod Beazley, Michael Golding
INS: No changes
OUTS:

We begin at the Mounting Yard with the top of the table clash with the Mounters hosting the Roos. Mount Lawley enjoying a much more convincing win last week away at Sorrento, compared to Wanneroo just falling over the line at home to North Beach. Wanneroo are unchanged with Herriot out for the Mounters and Aiden “Kenny” Caccioppoli slotting in at 3rd to Munnelly who enjoyed a fruitful season together last year. Phil the Spill has enjoyed a good start to the season and with Cottier firing as well, Mount Lawley should be confident to get the job done at home. I think this one will be close, but going with the home side to remain the only undefeated team after three rounds.
Mount Lawley 6-2

Doubleview v North Beach

Doubleview
Nigel Feletti, Antonino Gullotti, Michael Leed, Brandon Heta
Fred Williamson, Jarrod Steele, Taylor Pervan, Lindsay Thorn
Brent Penberthy, Edward Johnson, David Leed, James Barry
Alan Bloxham, Luke Martin, Gary Papadopoulos, Mark Fredericks
INS: Feletti, Bloxham
OUTS: Mainstone, Curham

North Beach

Geoffrey Watson, John Carlsen, Gary Gregson, Paul Butler
John Cowl, William Brown, Sandy Stevenson, Ed Retallack
Todd McMahon, David Anderson, Graeme Mackenzie, Jeffery Post
INS: Yates, Hunter
OUTS: Buttel, Howe

Doubleview head back home to host North Beach in a game that has everyone guessing. The View got beaten by +20 shots last week and North Beach only went down by 2 shots away at Wanneroo. Last week it seemed like the DV Premier side had to borrow a few players due to some late outs, so with everyone back in, hopefully they put in a good show. North Beach proved last week they can’t be taken too lightly on the road, however, Heta very rarely loses at home and with experienced names like Thorn and Barry leading the way, I’m going to tip Doubleview to win this one. If they can’t get over the line in this game, although it’s an early call, I think they might be struggling to stay up
Doubleview 7-1

Quinns Rocks v Sorrento

Quinns Rocks
Paul Dean, David Eadie, Christopher Parr, Steve O'Neill
Lawrence Johnson, Glenn Mountford, Neville Costello, Shane Smith
Antony Burrows, Alan Barker, Christopher Bartle, Hugh Ward
Trevor Hines, John Carrigan, Rohan Cantrill, Derek Richmond
INS: No changes
OUTS:

Sorrento
Ian Munro, Arren Zis, Peter Morgan, Timothy Murray
Steve Mortimer, Stanley Lindsay Baker, Richard Bone, David Dunstan
Philip Potts, Barney Fleiser, Ian Linford, Lance Martin
Gary Bayne, Brian Lucas, Alan Walton, Ronald Rogers
INS: Murray, Mortimer
OUTS: Bourne, Leach

Both teams coming off a loss last week, however Quinns will be a lot more content with their efforts – just going down to Yokine on the road with Sorrento being soundly beaten at home against Mount Lawley. Quinns romped to a massive victory in Round 1 at home and Sorrento have yet to register a win. With experienced skips in Ward and O’Neil leading the way and Shane Smith topping the skip ladder at the moment, Quinns look to be the real deal this year and will be too strong for a struggling, travelling Swans side. I think this will be another 8 pointer for the Crays and Sorrento will be travelling back down the freeway with a donut.
Quinns 8-0

North Perth v Yokine

North Perth
Michelangelo Italiano, Ruby Leggett, Brett Havercroft, Anthony Kay
John Hobbs, Daniel Butler, Todd Hampshire, Markus Merz
Mathew McEwen, Simon Struthers, Timothy Thomas, Benjamin Horwood
Jeremy Matthews, Don Dixon, Sally Wilke, Chris McKenna
INS: Havercroft, Butler, Dixon
OUTS: Stewart, Buchanan, Newstead

Yokine
Fred Faigenbaum, Paul Hunter, Jeffrey West, Martin Sharp
Stephen James, Julie Cooper, Richard D'Souza, Wayne Coffey
Geoffrey Turner, John McGrath, George Vassilou, Ian Cooper
John Henderson, Garry Robertson, Clifford Wemm, Shane Shaw
INS: No changes
OUTS:

A few ex-teammates playing against each other here in the GAME OF THE ROUND. Looks like the Pioneers have done some position shuffling chasing that compatibility which is oh so important. Yokine come in with unchanged personnel but have done some rejigging themselves with Coffey stepping up to the skippers plate and D’Sousa slotting in at 3. Both Teams coming in to this game with a win and a loss, however Yokine have won more rinks than they’ve lost and North Perth going down to Warwick last week in a bit of a surprise result. Wouldn’t it be great to see Shane Shaw draw Ben Horwood and which ex team mate is Pommy going to do battle with? Surely this one is going to be close – I’m going to go with North Perth at home, Horwood and McKenna are quality skips and I reckon Pommy will grow another leg against his former team mates – but calling a close one under 10 shots
North Perth 7-1

Cambridge v Warwick

OUTS:

Warwick
Kevin Humfrey, William Shand, Raymond Loran, Geoffrey Hinge
Gary Chappell, Colin Shier, Ivan Sparrowhawk, Brian Ledingham
Wayne Wyatt, Larry Middleton, Clive Boyle, Allan Hornby
Andrew Dixon, Bernie McNamara, Glenn Yabuka, Sean Wright
INS: Dixon
OUTS: Pretty

Finally we’re off to the stable as Cambridge welcome Warwick. The Maggies will fly into this game with their beaks up after a good showing last week where they beat North Perth at The Nest. Cambridge are one of my flag favourites this year so this will be a much tougher proposition for Warwick as I don’t think many teams will win here. With the likes of Lewis, Bolton, Jones all having PL experience, I think the Knights will be too strong and I’d be surprised if Warwick head home with any points. Tipping a big score here and 8 points to the home side
Cambridge 8-0
