Skippers records read as NAME (Win,Loss,Draw)
Round 7 and pending on the results this week I think we will start to see a bit of a break from the top 4 and the rest of the field. Mt Lawley again are involved in a top of the table clash when they host the Millers this week on Friday night. Doubleview have been in the beef since the get go and need to dig deep if they are any chance of defending their flag. Some cracker games this week so lets have a look at the fixtures

OUTS: Rushforth, Lewis

Manning going great guns thus far sitting 3rd on the ladder, this week they host the Knights. New Mum and Australian Open singles winner Laura Butler makes her debut coming in playing 2 for Nathan Jones. The Knights are 50/50 at the moment and will see Brad Gillingham take over the skippers role as Cam Harris goes over with the old man. If the Knights lose this one they will be a couple of aggregates out of the 4 while Manning can close in on the top so it’s a big game for both here but I'm going the home side.
Manning 6-2

INS: Bresland
OUTS: Urquhart

Straight in with match of the round this Friday night with the Mounters hosting the Millers. Mt Lawley if they can get job done with this one they will head into the Xmas break as the leaders. Ross Bresland comes back in for the visitors and will want to win this one to keep them within striking distance. I think last year it came down to the final bowl and this one will be a honker but it’s the home side for me.
Mt Lawley 7-1

Osborne Park v Safety Bay

Osborne Park
Tyrone Alberti, Gordon King, Connor Biddle, John Goddard (149W ,99L ,17D)
Grant Nicol, Christopher Orchard, Kevin Pickering, Segan Pasalich (6W ,2L ,2D)

Ryan Newick, Ron Hall, Grant Taylor, Stephen Hide (2W ,2L ,0D)

Jim Hanafee, Gary Ogg, Peter Webster, Chris Carruthers (8W ,12L ,3D)
INS: Mortensen, Smith
OUTS: Massari, Brannan

Pretty simple equation really for both sides here. Saints need as many points as possible to stay in the hunt with the top 4 but cant take their opponents lighty. The Bay lose this one today it will be all practice for the rest of the season as they will be going back to white, I think we might even see a duck egg.
Osborne Park 8-0

Sorrento v Bassendean

Sorrento
Greg Taylor, Peter Flack, Simon Deering, Bruce Eagles (38W ,33L ,0D)
Mark Douglass, Peter Augustson, Murray Hulbert, Ross Cunningham (7W ,6L ,2D)
Geoff Murray, Ricky Hutchinson, Steven Wattleworth, Rhett Butler (123W ,128L ,7D)
Steve Mortimer, Wade Clatworthy, Chris Leggett, Paul Knight (16W ,24L ,1D)
INS: Wattleworth, Mortimer
OUTS: Buckley, Bourne

Bassendean
Scott Bermingham, Brett Tie, Linton Pike, Wayne Neilson (30W ,44L ,9D)
Norman Kirkup, Eugene O'Sullivan, Matthew Whitely, Ruairi Kenyon (14W ,20L ,2D)
Lloyd McKay, Matthew Watson, Russell Ellis, Simon Alden (61W ,51L ,5D)
Phillip Hutchinson, Grant Stokes, Wesley Neilson, David Rhodes (62W ,62L ,5D)
INS: No changes
OUTS:

Finishing off with a beauty as Sorrento host the Lions. Sorrento looking to make it 3 in a row and can put a bit of breathing room between them and the teams chasing the 4. Bassendean need to get back in the winners circle after the home egg last week and a win today will get them back into the 4. Wouldn’t be surprised if basso won this one but I think Sorrento will get up today
Sorrento 6-2

OUTS: Conway

Kardinya

OUTS:

Its now project get out of the beef for Doubleview. With only 1 point at home thus far they got find some home wins especially having 2 out of the remaining 3 before the break at home. John Slavich comes back in and im sure he will have an impact on things. For Kardy after a disappointing duck egg last week will not want to go go 3 straight losses. Must win game for Doubleview as I think the Saints may score a maximum in their game so it’s the home side for me.
Doubleview 7-1
