Sorry we missed the review last weekend so I'll just have a quick summary as follows: Mossies solid at home with a tasty 30 shots over Saints, easy win; North Beach (again) found a way to win but these tiny margins at home are concerning; then we had 3 8-0 games, yes 3 in 1 round. Unsure when we had 3 in 1 round. This season 1 was max, last season R4 & R9 had 2 & the list goes on for years with plenty of 2 8's in 1 Round, maybe an average 2.5 per year but never 3!!! Now within those 3 these stories that the poor predictor machine has popped it's ear plugs in for. Yes Reds trashing Gosnells 8-0, nothing news worthy but great result, Titans wiping Basso by double scores again nothing news worthy but great result.........but then there was the Lions pulling the Dolphins pants down on their home deck is easily upset of the season. Kissed by the poison of the predictor machine once again. The Doplhins, too busy sipping their winner's champagne forgot to show up. 1.45pm came & went & not a single Dolphin was seen. Missing persons were contacted for 16 Dolphins. Supposedly the 'Pod' were at the beach but certainly not 6 Miami Beach Iluka where Leeming showed up & feasted like real Lions.
Anyway back to this week. 2 Rounds to Christmas & there's no one on a good run. No team has won more than 2 in a row & there's a few nervous heading into Christmas with possibly 3+ losses in a row. As much as R6 seems to be a good indicator for the season, after R9 is certainly a lead indicator so there's a big 2 rounds ahead.

Cockburn needed that win last week boosting them away from the pack a little. Yes it was against the bottom side but having 2 home games in a row will set their Christmas up nicely. The Titans tend to live off these back to back home games so they should put this away.
Fairly ridiculous again that the Reds can be near bottom 2 weeks ago & now 4th sitting pretty in a Finals spot but that 1 White this season. Good to see the Reds putting together some back to back form. I'm really struggling to not see a major blow out rink here, like 20+ blowout. Reds are travelling well but this could be over early if the match goes the right way for the home side.

Hard to call this one as Gosnells got smashed last week & on paper North Beach are the better side littered with ex.PL players but yet I can't seem to favour North Beach with much confidence. Yes if they are to win any away game for the season surely this is up there on their list but North Beach travelling tend to be like Pinata's they look great & sturdy at the start but after a few wallops they fall apart & all the candy comes out wrapped in a nice big Agg.
The Kookaburra's need these home wins to have a chance of survival & the North Beach win this & they'll likely go into a Finals spot. Hard to pick yourself up after a solid 8 pineapple but maybe the home side can do it....maybe!

Lion v Lion for this Round & one side just had the main fight with the head Lion to see who was the real Lion in the 1 White pack last week & it was no contest. I hear Leeming are flying to Basso, they're on that much of a high after last week 8 badge on the road.
Basso have a chance in this one purely on the basis that nobody will give them a chance in winning. They just can't go into R11 winless when they're next at home. I vaguely remember Morley getting a right trashing in 2020 in 1 White after they 'restructure' & they went to R10 before winning but at least drew in R7. Basso are too big a club to go 0-10 so they'll need something from this & surely Leeming will let the guard down after such a big week last week allowing Basso to pounce early.
Let's go with Basso, it's Christmas after all, ooops sorry that's next round. If there’s a chance for an upset this is Basso’s chance but it’s against a side who’s just done the incredible. I’m torn on this one.
Leeming 6 - 2

GAME OF THE ROUND: Massive game for both sides, with both sides off similar weeks. Saints came off a tough result last week & the Dolphins scored 60 shots at home & hard night sleeps last Sat after a right touch-up.
Saints probably don’t have a huge advantage at home & Joondalup are ok on the road. The reality is the ladies are probably carrying too much weight for the Saints & they need help.
I did tip the Saints when starting to write this but they’ll need all 4 rinks to perform & I’m just not seeing enough to drive that confidence.
Joondalup 6 - 2

Contrasting weeks for both sides. Eagles were very very close to a great away Agg but just failed. Mossies were superb last week putting away a good side by 30 shots.
5pts seperate these sides & this was where Mossies were last week until they won so it’s probably a very even matchup.
Given Mossies road record it’s difficult to back them in for this one. Manning have been hot & cold at home but this one is do or die as the Agg gets them right up into mid table from 9th. That close gap or ability to move 3 to 4 spots per round will disappear soon.
