(Darryl Flintoff 28 - Peter Burgess 10) (John Rochford 21 - Steve Srhoy 26) (Norm Ball 27 - James Wylie 15) (Ross Knapp 25 - Denis Bandy 9)
Another strong result for Kardinya this week even with star skipper Brad Henley missing. Steve Srhoy the only winner for Cockburn with a strong win over John Rochford. Freddy Flintoff took over the skipping duties from Henley with good effect securing an 18 shot win over Peter Burgess. But now onto the main course with match of the season in prospect next week when top of the table Kardinya take on 2nd placed Kalamunda in a battle for top spot. Looking forward to that one.
Very strong bounce back from Willetton this week as they put Thornlie to the sword securing 7 valuable points and more importantly 3rd place on the ladder. Justin Wright the big winner this week with a 19 shot win over Mark Forrester, whilst Daniel Slade the only winner for Thornlie with a narrow 2 shot win over Gavin Dodge. A great opportunity now for Willetton to cement their position in the top 3 with a home match vs Forrestfield next week. Thornlie now under relegation pressure with an away fixture at Cockburn.
Rockingham 71 (2) vs Kalamunda 79 (6)
(Bruce Edwards 11 - William Brandsma 23) (Lindsay Atkins 28 - Wayne Olive 10) (Marcus Simpson 13 - Dwayne Wooltorton 29) (Mark Devenny 19 - Frank Carbone 17)
Rockingham tried hard but Kalamunda proved to be too strong with a 7 shot win and 6 valuable points. Brandsma strong again with a 12 shot win over Bruce Edwards helping to secure the aggregate continuing on with his outstanding season. A huge clash awaits Kalamunda next week when they get to take on Kardinya at home with top spot on the line. Let’s hope Bill is not too tired on his return from the BPL. Rockingham off to Warnbro next week trying to put a halt to 3 losses on the trot.
Dalkeith Nedlands 77 (2) vs Warnbro 79 (6)
(Andrew Foster 26 - Troy Dellar 20) (Darren Redeckis 21 - Barry Kalinowsky 14) (Jesse Brown 13 - George Jackson 19) (Martin Saunders 17 - Dennis Pattullo 26)
It would have been happy team at Warnbro on Saturday afternoon after a narrow 2 shot win and their first away win of the season. It was Mr Bowls Dennis Pattullo and his capable sidekick Dr G who got the job done. Dalkeith stumbled at a critical moment as they chased 3 wins in a row and are now well and truly back in the relegation pack. A bit like the battle for top spot noted above Dalkeith have their own battle away from home when the must travel to Rossmoyne in what is probably the battle for the wooden spoon! Warnbro back at home and they will fancy their chances at home against Rockingham.
Forrestfield & Districts 88 (7) vs Rossmoyne 68 (1)
Forrestfield again did what they needed to do with a 7-1 victory over Rossmoyne and importantly bounce out of the bottom 4. Jarrad Wepner the big winner over Craig Edson whilst Reza stood firm to secure a valuable point. Forrestfield now travel to Willetton looking for another win whilst Rossmoyne have an absolute must win at home up against Dalkeith. I think Mayor Lang could be on edge all week with this big clash awaiting him and he could be one to avoid when calling into the club!
