The Mounters can now start preparing for a home finals series but who will they play?. The Knights jump into 2nd spot after continuing their undefeated run in the second half with the next 4 sides hot on their tails. A much needed win for Sorrento keeps them in the safe zone for another week but lets go through the results.
The Knights have hit their straps in the second half and jump into 2nd spot on the ladder recording a 14 shot win over the Saints. Harris with his 15 shot win over Brown took care of things while Gillingham also getting the chocolates over East. They head back home to take on Manning next week and a win should see them safe into the finals. The loss for the Saints drops them to 6th but still well in the hunt, the head down to take on Safety bay next week.
Sorrento 87 (7.5) vs Safety Bay 62 (0.5)
(Bruce Eagles 20 - Scott Foran 20) (Chris Leggett 28 - Graeme Smith 10) (Murray Hulbert 17 - Stephen Hide 12) (Rhett Butler 22 - Chris Carruthers 20)
Exactly what Sorrento needed here not dropping a rink against the Bay. The win puts them 7.5 points clear of 9th and I think another 5 or 6 points from here should just about see them see them safe. They head to the Den next week while Safety Bay host the Saints.
Mount Lawley 83 (7) vs Bassendean 71 (1)
(Ben Leggett 10 - Wayne Neilson 23) (Corey Bessant 24 - Stein Davies 20) (Daniel Trewhella 20 - David Rhodes 17) (Shane Knott 29 - Simon Alden 11)
Mt Lawley getting the job done with a 12 shot win over the Lions. 22 points clear on the ladder and will now have the record in their sights. Match of the round for them when they head to Sth Perth next week. The Lions only 1 point out of the 4 head back to the Den next week to take on Sorrento
Doubleview 83 (6) vs South Perth 76 (2)
(Anthony Williams 17 - Glenn Pauling 18) (Bradley White 22 - Scott Walker 20) (Charles Slavich 18 - Justin Opie 27) (Kyle McIlroy 26 - Ross Bresland 11)
The View from reports getting up in the final stages of the game to beat the Millers by 7 shots. They are 10 points out of the 4 and play the bottom 2 sides plus Cambridge at home. If they win them all you just never know especially with the way this season has gone. The Millers have got their next 2 at home and will be a beauty when they take on Mt Lawley next week.
Manning 87 (7) vs Kardinya 66 (1)
(Cody Packer 24 - Beau McGrechan 17) (David Downey 17 - Steven Novak 18) (Nathan Jones 21 - Matthew Allen 13) (Warren Holt 25 - Craig Stokes 18)
No real surprise here with the Eagles taking care of the Cats by 22 shots. Just hanging onto 4th spot by a point they have 2 of the next 3 away from home and will have a tough one next week when they head to Cambridge. Kardy its going to be tough for them now to get out of relegation, they need to upset the premiers at home next week to be any hope.
