Another win for the Mounters and sees them just 1 point from raising the bat. The Knights remain in 2 spot and have 1 foot into the finals but do have 2 tough ones to finish. Sorrento with their maximum win away from home will keep them safe for another year but unfortunately for the cats the close loss to the premiers now sends them back to white next season. I think after next week we will be close to finding out who our top 4 will be when the top 5 take on the bottom 5 but lets go through the results.
Mt Lawley continue their dominance with another away win getting over the Millers by 21 shots. Knott and Leggett taking care of the aggregate with Bessant sneaking the extra point with a 1 shot win. The Mounters are closing in on the record and head back home to take on the Cats next week. The Millers only 1 point out of the 4 and play their final home game next week against the Lions.
Kardinya 84 (2) vs Doubleview 86 (6)
(Beau McGrechan 23 - Bradley White 20) (Craig Stokes 18 - Kyle McIlroy 20) (Matthew Allen 25 - Anthony Williams 20) (Steven Novak 18 - Charles Slavich 26)
Wow what a close one this was but the premiers aren’t finished yet just getting home by 2 shots over the Cats. The View are closing in just 6 points now out of the 4, a big one for them next week when they take on the Knights at home. Kardy unfortunately for them with Sorrento getting a maximum now sits them 13 and a half points out of the beef and its now back to white for them next year.
In another close one the Knights remain undefeated at home with a 7 shot win over the Eagles. They remain second on the ladder but do have Doubleview and Mt Lawley to finish. 1 win will make it certain and should be enough at a double chance however if they lose both they could miss out but I think they regain Blake Nairn for the remainder of the season. Manning the 2 points proved vital as results have gone their way hanging onto 4th spot, they take on the Bay next week at home.
Safety Bay 69 (1.5) vs Osborne Park 86 (6.5)
(Chris Carruthers 16 - Jack East 20) (Graeme Smith 21 - Ryan Brown 19) (Scott Foran 19 - Segan Pasalich 19) (Stephen Hide 13 - Dale Marsland 28)
The Saints jump into 3rd spot on the ladder with a 17 shot win over the beef. While 3 of the rinks were close it was Dale Marsland 15 shot win that got them over the line. They head back home next week to take on Sorrento and a win would set them up nicely going into the final round. The Bay head over to take on Manning next week.
My goodness no one would of seen this coming but Sorrento walk away with all 8 points at the Den. All rinks were close but the win for Sorrento sees them safe for another year in premier. The Lions have let this one slip and now are in real trouble, they are going to have to win their last 2 games now and wont be easy as the head to Sth Perth next week. Sorrento stay on the road and head to Osborne Park.
