We are down to a 3 horse race for the final 2 spots in this years finals. The Knights host the leaders and 2 rinks should just about be enough to hold onto the double chance. The Millers are the only team out of the 4 that can still make finals and it's all over for the premiers and the Lions this season. It's going to be an exciting finish but let's go through the results.
Osborne Park 92 (7) vs Sorrento 59 (1)
(Dale Marsland 22 - Murray Hulbert 15) (Jack East 24 - Bruce Eagles 8) (Ryan Brown 27 - Chris Leggett 16) (Segan Pasalich 19 - Rhett Butler 20)
The Saints with another good win getting 7 points over Sorrento. The win keeps them in 3rd spot and all to play for when the head to the Den next week. A win will guarantee them finals and possibly 2nd spot but a loss could see them drop out. Sorrento finish off their season at home to take on Manning
Manning 91 (8) vs Safety Bay 63 (0)
(Alan Heal 20 - Scott Foran 18) (Blake Butler 34 - Stephen Hide 11) (Kristina Krstic 18 - Chris Carruthers 17) (Warren Holt 19 - Graeme Smith 17)
Even though it was a 28 shot duck egg win 3 out of the 4 rinks were within 2 shots but all went in favour of the Eagles. Blake Butlers rink with a 23 shot win took care off the agg with the other rinks just hanging on to get the valuable points. They head to Sorrento next week and a win will also see them into the finals. If they loose they need the Cats to beat the Millers otherwise they will miss out. Safety Bay finish off with their last game in Premier at home against Doubleview.
The Millers keep their finals hopes alive with a 26 shot win over the Lions. Justin Opie's rink were dominate yet again and it was their 20 shot win over Kenyon that took care of business. They head to Kardy next week and have to win that game and pending how many points they get need Manning or the Saints who are both on the road to get beat. The Lions will be disappointed as they are now out of finals contention. They finish off the season back at the Den hoping to ruin finals hopes for the Saints.
Mount Lawley 86 (6) vs Kardinya 78 (2)
(Ben Leggett 30 - Matthew Allen 17) (Corey Bessant 29 - Craig Stokes 12) (Daniel Trewhella 12 - Beau McGrechan 26) (Shane Knott 15 - Steven Novak 23)
In a wish-washy game Mt Lawley got home in a close win against the Cats. Huge game for them next week in the top of the table clash against the Knights. 6 points will not only get them the win but it will also get them the all time record. The Cats play their final game of Premier back at home to take on the Millers.
The Knight have ended Doubleview's chances of defending their flag with a 7 shot win. The Knights now head back home to take in the leaders next week and anything better than 2 points will secure 2nd spot. 2 points would mean that the Saints would have to get all 8 against the Lions to jumps them. The View finish off their season heading to Safety Bay next week.
