The Mounters jump to the top of the table and are the only club to suffer just the 1 defeat as we hit a quarter of the way through the season. Pretty close after that with just the 4 and a half points separating 2nd to 6th. Down the other end we have a bit of a gap now separating 8th from the beef and the defending premiers are in all sorts of heck with some work to do. Lets go through the results.
Osborne Park 79 (7) vs Kardinya 68 (1)
(Jack East 22 - Daryl Radford 13) (John Goddard 26 - Matthew Allen 13) (Ryan Brown 21 - Bradley Henley 20) (Segan Pasalich 10 - Steven Novak 22)
The Saints needed this one and they got the job done with 7 handy point in their 11 shot win over the Cats. East and Goddard taking care off the aggregate with Brown just falling over the line to get the extra point. Kardy return home next week as they host the world number Aron Sherriff in their clash against Manning while the Saints head to Cambridge.
Sorrento returning back to the winners circle with an 11 shot win over the Knights. While all rinks were close it was very nearly a clean sweep to the home side. Butler’s 7 shot win was the biggest margin of the day and the win gets them back into the 4. Bit of a shaky start for the Knights but remain in the hunt only 4 and a half points outside the 4 will be looking to turn things around when they host the Saints next week while Sorrento head to Safety Bay
Doubleview 54 (1) vs Mount Lawley 84 (7)
(Anthony Williams 18 - Shane Knott 15) (Charles Slavich 12 - Daniel Trewhella 24) (Kyle McIlroy 10 - Ben Leggett 25) (Ryan Moyle 14 - Corey Bessant 20)
Mt Lawley jump straight to the top of the table with a big 30 shot win away from home at the View. Ben Leggatt continuing his winning way with a 15 shot win over McIlroy and was backed up by Trewhella with a 12 shot win over Charlie Slavich. The Mounters continue the road as they head to the Den next week to take on the Lions. As for Doubleview well im not sure if even Batman could get them out of this mess and it doesn’t get any easier either as they head to Sth Perth next week.
Safety Bay 71 (5) vs Bassendean 71 (3)
(Aaron Smith 14 - Simon Alden 24) (Chris Carruthers 18 - David Rhodes 15) (Matthew Mortensen 19 - Wayne Neilson 16) (Stephen Hide 20 - Ruairi Kenyon 16)
While the aggregate was a draw the rink win was enough to get Safety Bay over the line for their first win of the season. 3 out of the 4 rink wins in close battles all round was enough for the home team to get the job done. Master 360 Alden continued his run with a 10 shot win over Smith. The Bay stay at home next week as they host Sorrento while the lions return home to take on Mt Lawley, should be a couple f cracking games.
Manning 79 (7) vs South Perth 73 (1)
(David Downey 18 - Scott Walker 16) (Kristina Krstic 20 - Glenn Pauling 17) (Nathan Jones 20 - Paul Davies 21) (Warren Holt 21 - Justin Opie 19)
Well what a beauty this one turned out to be but it was the Eagles walking away with 7 points. Kristina Krstic was the big winner of the day taking care of the big board with a 3 shot win over Pauling. Downey and Holt also just hanging to record wins and was almost a clean sweep but Paul Davies just managed to the lone point for the visitors with a 1 shot win over Jones. The Millers host the View next week while Manning head to Kardinya.
