Unless disaster strikes over the next fortnight Mt Lawley will head into the xmas break on top after winning both top of the table clashes. Only 5 points separate the next 4 teams with an interesting last couple of rounds coming up. The beef remains unchanged but the premiers getting their first win since round 3 and are now closing in on the Cats. Lets go through the results
Mount Lawley 91 (7) vs South Perth 71 (1)
(Ben Leggett 12 - Justin Opie 21)
(Corey Bessant 32 - Ross Bresland 18)
(Daniel Trewhella 20 - Glenn Pauling 19)
(Shane Knott 27 - Scott Walker 13)
Mt Lawley make it 5 in a row as they win the top of the table clash over the Millers by 20. Knott and Bessant taking care of the agg with Trewhella gaining the extra point over Pauling by 1. Justin Opie kept the Millers in the game but couldn’t close the gap but gave Benny Leggatt his first loss of the season by 9. Mt Lawley looking very strong as they head into the last couple of rounds currently have 3 skippers in the top 5 and are back on the road to take on Kardinya next week. The Millers dop back to 4th and have a big one next week as they head to Bassendean

Doubleview 92 (7) vs Kardinya 56 (1)
(Anthony Williams 27 - Daryl Radford 14)
(Charles Slavich 22 - Bradley Henley 11)
(Kyle McIlroy 18 - Steven Novak 21)
(Ryan Moyle 25 - Matthew Allen 10)
Double had to win this and did so convincingly with a 36 shot win and 7 points. Big wins for Williams, Slavich and Moyle and Steve Novak managed to stop the duck egg getting over McIlroy by 3. Big game for the View next week as they head over to Cambridge. As for the Cats its been disastrous after a good start only managing 2 points over the last 3 weeks and now in a bit of trouble and it doesn’t get much better as they host Mt Lawley next week

Manning 82 (6) vs Cambridge 77 (2)
(David Downey 24 - Pieter Harris 13)
(Kristina Krstic 17 - Blake Nairn 23)
(Nathan Jones 20 - Brad Gillingham 22)
(Warren Holt 21 - Clive Adams 19)
Manning just holding on for a 5 shot win over the the Knights. The win makes it 3 in a row for the Eagles and jumps them up to 2nd spot on the ladder. 3 out of the 4 rinks were close but it was the Dave Downey rink getting up over Pieter Harris by 9 that secured the win. Manning head over to Beefville Safety Bay while the Knights return back home to take on Doubleview.

Osborne Park 108 (7) vs Safety Bay 67 (1)
(Jack East 28 - Stephen Hide 11)
(John Goddard 32 - Matthew Mortensen 15)
(Ryan Brown 31 - Aaron Smith 20)
(Segan Pasalich 17 - Chris Carruthers 21)
Osborne Park keeping themselves in the mix with a big 41 shot win over Safety Bay. They sit in 6th place just 4.5 points outside the 4 and have a big one next week as they head over to Sorrento who sit just ahead of them. Safety will be hoping to give the Eagles some grief as they take them on at home next week.

Sorrento 64 (1) vs Bassendean 74 (7)
(Bruce Eagles 13 - Wayne Neilson 18)
(Paul Knight 20 - David Rhodes 12)
(Rhett Butler 17 - Ruairi Kenyon 25)
(Ross Cunningham 14 - Simon Alden 19)
Great result here for the Lions bouncing back from the ol duck egg received last week beating Sorrento by 10. The win jumps them back into the 4 sitting nicely in 3rd spot and will host the Millers in next weeks match of the round. The loss for Sorrento drops them back to 5th but have another crack at home next week when they take on the Saints
