Once again we see a change at the top as the premiers now leading the field with 5 rounds to go. The Knights jump into second spot and the Eagles getting a much needed win. The Saints recorded a maximum to keep themselves within reach and we now see a bit of a break between the challenge game and the beef. Lets go through the results.
The Knights jump up to second spot and end the Lions chances of finals recording a 14 shot win at the Den. Plucka Adams and Blake Nairn took care of the aggregate with Crowle just falling over the line to get the extra point. The Knights will be looking to continue their dominant run as the host Sorrento next week. Was always going to be a tough ask for the Lions understrength and now find themselves 11.5 points out of the 4. While not impossible I think its season over for the Lions but let see what happens when they head to Doubleview next week.
Mount Lawley 102 (8) vs Leeming 60 (0)
(Ben Leggett 33 - Jim Newton 10) (Corey Bessant 26 - Paul Hickey 18) (Daniel Trewhella 21 - Lionel Mundri 20) (Jack East 22 - James Bowden 12)
The premiers reclaim top spot on the ladder after racking up a tonne with a duck egg win over Leeming. They will be looking to repeat this performance when they host Cockburn next week. Leeming its back to white for them next season and can only try to make it uncomfortable for other teams now, they return home to take on Sth Perth.
Osborne Park 84 (8) vs Cockburn 68 (0)
(Brad Gillingham 20 - Marc Abonnel 14) (Dale Marsland 26 - Jordan King 23) (Ryan Brown 19 - Tony Krajancic 18) (Segan Pasalich 19 - Michael Simunovic 13)
A maximum for the Saints keeps themselves in the hunt for finals recording a 16 shot win over Cockburn. While all rinks were close they all went in favour of the home side. Big one for them next week when they head over to take on the Eagles. The egg for Cockburn now sees them 10 points from safety and I think they will be joining Leeming back in white next year.
The Eagles taking care of business getting 7 points on the road against Sorrento. Huge game for them next week when they return home to take on the Saints. They can secure their spot in the finals and end the hopes for the Saints if they can get over the line. Sorrento will have their hands full when they head over to Cambridge.
South Perth 70 (2) vs Doubleview 74 (6)
(Graeme Wishart 14 - John Slavich 19) (Justin Opie 21 - Anthony Williams 14) (Paul Davies 14 - Bradley White 22) (Ross Bresland 21 - Charles Slavich 19)
Doubleview getting a much need win getting over the line by 4. They are now 10 points safe from relegation but will want to make the challenge game certain when they host Bassendean next week. The loss for the Millers drops them back to 4th on the ladder but they do have the bottom 2 sides next.
