Well with only 3 rounds to go who would of picked that the 2 clubs that got hit the hardest in the off season would be leading the field. The Knights have hit the front and become the 6th different club to lead the field this season. We are in for one heck of a finish but lets go through the results.
Bassendean 82 (6) vs Leeming 80 (2)
(David Rhodes 22 - Paul Hickey 11) (Ruairi Kenyon 19 - Lionel Mundri 25) (Simon Alden 22 - Jim Newton 17) (Stein Davies 19 - James Bowden 27)
It would have been the upset of the season but the Lions have just fallen over the line beating Leeming by 2. She was all even going into the last end but the Lions getting the job done. With the View going down the win for the Lions sees them safe for another year. They head over to Cockburn next week while Leeming take on Doubleview.
Cambridge chalk up another win and we’ll take top spot while we’re at it. Massive game for them next week when they take on the Saints at home. Doubleview not sure whats happened with them it was only a couple of years since they held the trophy and are now going to have to play off to hold onto premier.
Mount Lawley 51 (1) vs Manning 90 (7)
(Ben Leggett 20 - Scott Walker 13) (Corey Bessant 7 - Warren Holt 25) (Daniel Trewhella 9 - Kristina Van Nierop 29) (Jack East 15 - Glenn Pauling 23)
This one was played early but what a win for the Eagles towelling up the premiers by 39 shots. Huge wins for Krissy and Holt took care of the agg and now the Eagles face a big one when they host the Millers next. Mt Lawley next head over to Sorrento.
Osborne Park 97 (8) vs Sorrento 60 (0)
(Brad Gillingham 21 - Chris Leggett 14) (Dale Marsland 30 - David Dunstan 10) (Ryan Brown 22 - Rhett Butler 20) (Segan Pasalich 24 - Murray Hulbert 16)
The Saints remain in the hunt with a big duck egg win over Sorrento. They are now within 1.5 points of the 4 but they do have to play the top 3 sides in the last 3 rounds. Sorrento still 11 points clear of the beef and still have some work to do just to hang on, they host the premiers next.
South Perth 83 (7) vs Cockburn 58 (1)
(Graeme Wishart 19 - Marc Abonnel 17) (Justin Opie 23 - Tony Krajancic 10) (Paul Davies 27 - Jordan King 12) (Ross Bresland 14 - Michael Simunovic 19)
As expected the Millers having no problems taking care of Cockburn by 26 shots. A top 2 finish is now in sights for the Millers and will be in for a beauty when they head to Manning next up. Cockburn can still get out of the beef as they have 2 out of their last 3 at home, they host the Lions next week.
