(Daniel Brown 17 - Steven Adams 15) (Eddie Gollan 17 - Raymond Clark 22) (Kevin McKay 25 - Bruce McLean 11) (Stewart Gosstray 18 - Ron Hall 16)
The champs finished what can only be described as a superb season. A total of 16 wins meant they dominated the player ladder and provided that they can retain their current squad they should enjoy success in one white next season. For Safety Bay somewhat of a disappointing end to their season although they live to fight another day courtesy of a challenge match next Saturday. A bit like Dalkeith some nervous times ahead to see whether they can also secure their playing rights for next season.
Dalkeith Nedlands 78 (6) vs Kardinya 74 (2)
(Darren Redeckis 14 - Aaron Gale 20) (Jesse Brown 19 - Darryl Flintoff 25) (Martin Saunders 26 - Stephen Vinci 14) (Michael Yates 19 - Garry Knight 15)
Dalkeith finish off well with a solid 6-2 win up against Kardinya on the weekend. Wins to Martin Saunders and Michael Yates was enough to carry the aggregate for Dalkeith. They must now play a challenge match next week against a 2nd division club to see whether they will get their playing rights for next season. Nervous times ahead for them whilst for Kardinya it is season over with the promise of action in one white next season. Well done to Kardinya for a great season!
Gosnells 90 (7) vs Rockingham 72 (1)
(Brett Holland 14 - Victor Arriagada 28) (Kelvin Pearce 24 - Bruce Edwards 16) (Michael Rickard 31 - Mark Devenny 10) (Rue Bishop 21 - Bradley Cole 18)
Not a lot for either side to play for in this one but to their credit Gosnells finished off their season well with a solid win over Rockingham. With Michael Rickard on fire plus wins to Bishop and Pearce Gosnells secured 7 points. They will head back to Division 2 looking to bounce back next season. Rockingham secure one point via Vic Arriagada to round out a very good season for him with 13 wins over 17 matches. Rockingham back in one blue next season looming to build post a pretty good season.
South Perth 76 (1) vs Rossmoyne 82 (7)
(John Carter 20 - Anthony Churcher 16) (Neale Griffin 21 - Raymond Halse 22) (Steve Kelly 17 - Wayne Heldt 22) (Wayne Bezant 18 - David Horniman 22)
Perhaps somewhat of a surprise this result with Rossmoyne finishing out a pretty good season in the end with a hard fought 7-1 victory over South Perth. The home side would have gone in as favourites but wins to Wayne Heldt, David Horniman and Ray Halse was enough to secure the aggregate win. John Carter secured the lone point for South Perth to finish off a pretty good season for him. Rossmoyne put their feet up secure in one blue for next season whilst South Perth jump to one white as a consequence of a 3rd place finish.
Willetton did what they needed to do with a solid 7-1 win over Cockburn at home on the weekend. I am not sure if there were some nervous moments as the end scores on most rinks were pretty tight but the win meant they jumped over Safety Bay and held off Dalkeith for 6th place and safety for next season in one blue, Well done to them but unfortunately it is the end of the line for the Cockburn side who will head back to 2nd division for next season.
