The Mounters are back on friendly turf after another passport-stamped disappointment on the road. Only four points separate these two, so this one matters — a Mount Lawley win opens daylight, a Lions win drags everyone back into the mid-table mud wrestle. The Mounters absolutely pantsed Bassendean on opening day and will be keen to remind them that was no accident. Add in an undefeated home record and the PL side playing Friday night, the Peanut Gallery should be out in full force. Hard to tip against them at home.

Yanchep at home continues to be a hostile environment — big wins and visiting sides leaving with a lot to ponder. After another away-day slip-up last week, they’ll be itching to make this count. Win here and they leap the Roos into second, and depending on Warwick, maybe even sniff top spot. Wanneroo would love to be the first side to crack the Yanchep fortress — it’d be a massive statement — but until someone proves it’s possible, I’m not tipping against the home side.
The Cray Pot hosts the Mavs, with Quinns looking to back up last week’s scalp of the Mounters and keep their finals pulse strong. Morley’s equation from here is simple: outscore Ellenbrook and Cambridge, pinch rinks where possible, and cause the occasional headache. Quinns should be too strong at home, but Morley showed last week against Sorrento they can still bite. Don’t be shocked if they sneak a rink or two.

Alarm bells are ringing at Sorrento after another home loss, while Ellenbrook grabbed a season lifeline win at the Stable. Sorrento’s recent form has invited everyone back into the conversation, and this is one of the few games they’ll start favourites in from here. Lose this and the trouble meter goes from “concerning” to “uh oh.” I’ll back them to get over the line here.

The ladder leaders roll into the Stable to face a Cambridge side that looks battered, bruised, and running dangerously low on belief. A shock win over the Mounters teased a revival, but last week’s collapse against Ellenbrook slammed that door shut again. Warwick are flying and logic says they should win here and diminish any optimism the Knights had left.
