Interesting start to the 2nd half of the season with a match pitting 2 sides in the bottom 4. Both desperately in need of a win and both seemingly out of form so difficult match to predict the outcome. Of note Willetton with 3 changes this week possibly in an effort to try and get things going again in the 2nd half of the season. I haven’t tipped a draw this season and we are getting a high number of very close results and I expect this match to be no different. Will select the home side to record a narrow win.
Dalkeith 5-3

Giuseppi Reale, Christopher Lawrence, Mark (Sydney) Game, Kelli Wray
INS: Dropulic, Gowland, Lawrence
OUTS: J Wray, Ravlich, Brotherston

This one should be a lot easier to tip with Rockingham back at home against a Cockburn side that typically struggles on the road. In addition not ideal when we see 3 changes to the Cockburn side in particular the loss of in form skipper Paul Brotherston and nice guy David Ravlich. A lot of experience and ability in these two and this will not help Cockburn’s cause on the weekend. As for Rockingham their form has been a little up and down and despite making 2 changes themselves they should be far too good at home.
Rockingham 7-1

Kardinya v South Perth

Kardinya
Jack Edgar, Mark Holt, Hugo Vriezen, Garry Knight
Michael West, Brian Wright, Dave Wood, Stephen Vinci
Brenda Juett, Les Phillips, Conn Vinci, Aaron Gale

Kenneth Pride, Gary Bennett, Tony Percival, Wayne Bezant
Geoffrey Bovell, Gregory Reagan, David Mortley, Neale Griffin
INS: Skuza
OUTS: Petrich

Big clash here between two heavyweights of this division. A lot riding on this particularly for South Perth and they will have their work cut out playing on the tricky Kardinya surface. The loss of Freddy Flintoff promoted to One White won’t help Karinya’s cause however the experienced Ross Knapp comes into the side and he is sure to play well. For Kardinya they will want to keep the pressure on Armadale (who they play straight after Xmas) with a win in this one and with the Vinci party on fire following their recent win in the club pairs (after 27 attempts to land a win) they should be too strong at home.
Kardinya 6-2

What a match here with the in form Rossmoyne at home against our ladder leaders in Armadale. No sides announced just yet but this should be a great clash and will tell us a lot about both sides. Rossmoyne looking for 5 in a row and a win in this would give them a great chance of creeping higher on the ladder during the 2nd half of the season. But Armadale with just 1 defeat so far this season are looking very good and they will go in as the strong favourite. Can Rossmoyne cause the upset at home – I don’t think so and whilst I expect a close match Armadale should be too good in the end.
Armadale 6-2

Safety Bay v Gosnells

Scott Gallon, Paul Daynes, Scott Foran, Steven Adams
Faye Capewell, Brett Duffield, Bruce McLean, Raymond Kennedy
INS: McLean, Foran
OUTS: Gilkinson, Richards

Gosnells

Kevin Ashman, Ronald McKay, Peter Gale, Mark Beauchamp
Nicolaas Vanderplank, Trevor Auckland, Maureen Cooney, Michael Rickard
Ian Quayle, Kevin Cragan, Michael Sharpe, Kelvin Pearce
INS: Beauchamp
OUTS: Holland

Another match which should be relatively easy to select. Safety Bay probably the surprise packets so far this season sitting pretty comfortably mid table on the ladder. They have a very good record at home and they will be looking for a strong win on Saturday. Gosnells not really firing at all and were well beaten away at Rockingham last week. Hard to make a case for Gosnells in this one and I expect Safety Bay to come away with a good win to wrap up round 10.
Safety Bay 7-1
