The double header is showing its value now hitting R10 before the big man shows dropping gifts all around in 39c heat. No excuses from here since you’ve played every team already so you know what to expect.
I’ll reserve my R12 judgement until late Jan but I’ve massive concerns that we’ll have the lowest bottom 4 scores & the highest top 4 scores by R18. Unsure what mid table may look like but I’m struggling to see any side really break out from lower on the ladder. For example if I was to say the bottom 4 sides of 1 White are Mossies, Saints, Dolphins & the Reds, you’d question what the hell has gone on but that’s where we are at, strange times but others have jumped on the opportunity so good on them for challenging the norm.

Another good chance for the Reds to pitch themselves against a genuine top side & there isn’t any more top than the Beach boys.
The Reds will be 1 Blue next year but it’s how they show up for the back 9 will dictate whether we’ll see them again within the next few years.
I suppose we started the season with the presumptive assertions that the Beach Boys were home track bullies but boy oh boy have they shifted the dial. They are the best home & away team by a margin, have only dropped 1 game all season & are on course to break 100pts on current pace. This one should be an easier trip although it want a massive blowout in R1 but both sides seem a little different now.

I watched that crazy adrenaline junkie guy with all his Redbull gear jumping from space to earth, Felix something……he fell from space to earth at a ridiculous speed. Unsure how that reminded me of this game but it felt connected.
Feels like this is Felix v Elon Musk, both going in very different directions but yet both dropping an Agg last week. First one to bounce back wins this & I feel the Dolphins have a big upset game in them I’m just unsure if it’s this weekend.

GAME OF THE ROUND: The Eagles are 5.5pts off North Perth but both sides are likely aiming for similar finishing positions so this will be a double pointer.
Both sides had great wins last Round & both against top 4 sides so landing on this game for game of the round is an obvious choice. We could say it’s reining champs against the newbies from 1 Blue but this season has shown it’s game on every week & the Pioneers now know they can play with the big boys after knocking off Safety Bay last round.
Yes the Eagles are only 5 from 9 but going 5 from 10 probably isn’t an option as the top 3 have already pushed out a gap. Can’t be more than a few lucky shots in this, it really could go either way but Eagles might just edge this.

As we mentioned before the Saints are absolutely screwed if they drop this against a side 6 from 9 & doing ok on the road. To be open & honest, even with this Agg they’re screwed….like proper 1 Blue. From memory they have maybe 2 home games to R18 & both are super tough.
Not collecting those early games in their purple run will likely have a huge impact on their season. The Cougars sitting 2nd, & yes between 2 sides with a game in hand but they’re the ones with the points in the bag which is more valuable than a game in paper. They’re spent years dropping narrow games & now a few have gone their way & boom look at the difference. I’m going with the Saints purely because I’d hate to see them drop but have no doubt in the Cougars ability to snatch this one albeit it was close in R1. Let’s roll this dice

Again 2 sides coming off a R9 loss which probably impacts Mossies more than the Kats. Both sides are equally matched with 4 wins this season. Disappointing for both as both will now unlikely play finals. The sooner either side gets into survival mode the better as it’s not looking great but not yet dire.
Allen & Cranswick are probably the standouts so we’d love to see them head to head but they rest need to work through their gears before it’s too late. I did fancy Mossies a little in R1 but they got touched up by double figures. I think they’ll respond to that trashing but it’s a big gap to close.
