Skippers records read as NAME (Win,Loss,Draw)
Happy new year everyone as we now head into round 11 and starting getting down to the business end of the season. The Millers have shown how much depth they have leading the field with the Lions and the Eagles sharing second spot. The premiers round out the 4 but do have the Knights just one point behind them. The Saints 11th points out of the 4 and can they repeat last years effort to make the big dance once again? The bottom 4 its looking like it’s the challenge game to play for this year with the newcomers both in the beef, lets have a look at the matchups.
Mount Lawley v Bassendean

Mount Lawley
#N/A #N/A #N/A #N/A INS:
OUTS:

Bassendean
Scott Bermingham, Matthew Watson, Linton Pike, Stein Davies (123W ,112L ,17D)
Ian O'Neill, Arthur Bartlett, Russell Ellis, Wayne Neilson (42W ,49L ,9D)
Lloyd McKay, Eugene O'Sullivan, Tony Cahill, Wesley Neilson (8W ,17L ,1D)
Brett Tie, David Snelgar, Ruairi Kenyon, Simon Alden (68W ,62L ,6D)
INS: Neilson
OUTS: Rhodes

Match of the round as the premiers host the Lions. The Mounters haven’t been as dominant at home as they would like but can jump the lions on the ladder with a win. The Lions welcome back Wayne Neilson into the line up but are missing Rhodes this week. These 2 have some great battles and Mt Lawley seem to get over the line and I think they will in this one.
Mt Lawley 7-1

Brian Blagaich, Sylvia Burgess, Michael Simunovic, Jordan King (3W ,2L ,0D)
INS: McGill, Musulin, Burgess
OUTS: Wray, Golem, Carroll

Great opportunity here for the Eagles if they can get a good win here today and could possibly go to the top of the table. Scotty Walker is out playing over in the UK and Nathan Jones is also out. Cockburn have been competitive but haven’t managed to convert that into wins but would love to kick off the year with an upset here. Even with the outs the Eagles should be way too strong.
Manning 7-1

Osborne Park v Doubleview

Gavin Faulkner, Brandon Heta, Anthony Williams, Kyle McIlroy (135W ,119L ,7D)
Ben Conway, Bradley Pearce, Bradley White, Ryan Moyle (88W ,52L ,3D)
Gary Nelson, Ben Willesee, Addy Wetzler, Charles Slavich (109W ,73L ,6D)
INS: Heta, Pearce, Wetzler
OUTS: D Leed, Steele, Kelly

Big one here as the Saints host the View. The Saints after falling apart need to regroup and win this one today otherwise its going to be tough road back. Doubleview 20 odd points out of the 4 would need a miracle from here and its looking like the challenge game is all they are playing for. Should be a good game but I’ll go the home side
Osborne Park 6-2

Sorrento v Leeming

Sorrento
Philip Potts, Lance Martin, David Dunstan, Chris Leggett (13W ,13L ,1D)
Geoff Murray, James Barry, Peter Flack, Greg Taylor (0W ,1L ,0D)
Ian Munro, Mark Douglass, Ronald Haring, Murray Hulbert (12W ,10L ,0D)
Edan Manifis, Timothy Murray, Robert Urquhart, Rhett Butler (129W ,141L ,9D)
INS: Martin, Murray
OUTS: Walton, Mortimer

Leeming
Anthony Williams, Brian Eather, Peter Boys, James Bowden (2W ,7L ,0D)
Wayne Birrell, Leon Bertei, Paul Hickey, Karl Vandersluys (4W ,5L ,0D)
Noel Morrison, Robert Muir, Phil Dobie, Jim Newton (4W ,5L ,0D)
Maggie Newton, Alexander Hodge, Marcus Bowden, Lionel Mundri (0W ,0L ,0D)
INS: J Bowden, M Bowden, M Newton, Muir, Mundri
OUTS: Lester, Ford, Lipple, Higham, Morrison

2 teams both in a pickle down the bottom end and will be desperate to win this one. Sorrento started off their season very but have not one since the departures. Leeming can close the gap if they can get the chocolates but I think Sorrento should be too strong
Sorrento 7-1

What a beauty to finish off with as the Knights host the Millers. Cambridge finished off the year beautifully and a win today will see them jump into the 4. The Millers leading the field and will be looking to kick off the new year with a win. Hopefully we will see Blake take on Rooster for this one but the Knights do have a very strong home record so im leaning towards them
Cambridge 6-2
