Wanneroo
Leslie Bryson, Noel Davey, Martin Nievelstein, David Triffitt
Neil Williams, Gareth Hughes, Derek Griffin, David Anderson
Gregory Sarich, Harold Whitman, Eckhard Widermanski, Pieter Geus
Glen Jack, Gary McKenner, Robert Burns, Kingsley Toster INS: Griffin OUTS: Rayner
Both sides come off strong outings last week. Wanneroo gave the Mounters a proper polishing, while Morley pushed Warwick but couldn’t quite land the knockout blow. Griffin returns for the Roos, and with Morley still adjusting to life in the top grade, this has the smell of a Wanneroo victory.
Wanneroo 7-1
Mount Lawley v Yanchep

Mick Palumbo, John Fielding, Ian Watt, Andrew Jones
Denham Delmore, Mark Glasson, Keith Scott, Enda Munnelly
Janice Miles, Stephen Connell, John Cottier, Michael Erceg
Nathan Walker, Carmelo Lenzo, David Morris, Laurence Kelly INS: Munnelly, Lenzo OUTS: Kimber, Callison
Yanchep

Leon Smith, Chris Roe, Tamara Arnold, Callum Arnold
Neil Cank, Mark Jones, David Hitchman, Chris Street
Russell Drury, John O'Brien, Paul Allen, Patrick Daley INS: Daley OUTS: Tomasso
The Mounters return to the Mounting Yard and welcome the table-topping Yanchep pack—brimming with confidence and not afraid of anyone. But travelling to the Yard is a different beast entirely, and Yanchep have only dragged 5 rinks away from home this season.
Big ins for the Mounters with the Irish Stallion saddling up again along with the Sicilian Slinger and Daley coming in fresh for the travelling band. The Mounters still haven’t shown their best, but Yanchep haven’t proved anything away from their home paddock yet. Tough to split—but I’ll stick with the form side.
Yanchep 6-2
Ellenbrook v Warwick
Ellenbrook
Boyd Eynon, Ray Kosovich, Graham Falconer, Robert Ball

Hamish Hellyer, Glenn McGill, Brian Kapitzke, Josef Rollnik
Malcolm Nicol, Mark Boyd, Michael Lovett, Aaron Cole INS: Kosovich OUTS: Ryan

Heath Berryman, Allan Hornby, Bernie McNamara, Ivan Sparrowhawk
Jacobus Johannes Landman, Colin Shier, Graeme Smith, Sean Wright
Wayne Wyatt, Andrew Dixon, Raymond Loran, Glenn Yabuka INS: Wilson OUTS: Hutchinson
The Maggies swoop into the Valley sitting pretty in the top two and keen to cement their top-three credentials. Ellenbrook, on the other hand, remain the biggest mystery — predicting their games is like cracking open a pack of Pokémon cards back in the day: you’re either grinning with a holographic Charizard or walking away bitterly disappointed. Since knocking off the Mounters they’ve barely flickered. Gut feeling—don’t ask me why—the Valley lads find a spark this week.
Ellenbrook 6-2
Bassendean v Sorrento
Bassendean
Gregory Sadler, Alan Britton, Geoffrey Malaspina, Neil Strachan
Saffronne Alden, Phillip Hutchinson, Wayne Davidson, John Holman
Robert Sheppard, Nick Pleasance, Brooke Chaney, Grant Stokes
Norman Kirkup, Shane Colegate, Nolan Hall, Butch Dinnison INS: Strachan, Sheppard OUTS: Krstic, Snelgar
Basso have been quietly building momentum and now sit in the traffic jam that is the mid-table. They snagged a strong away win at Ellenbrook last week, while Sorrento grabbed 5 points at Cambridge.
The Swans hit the road again, and the Den has been kind to its Lions. Basso lose Kristina’s dad and Snelgar but regain Strachan and Sheppard. Slightly weaker overall, but still enough muscle at home to hold the Swans at bay.
Basso 7-1
Quinns Rocks v Cambridge
Quinns Rocks
Lawrence Johnson, Anthony Burrows, Derek Richmond, Steve O'Neill
Trevor Hines, Paul Dean, Neville Costello, Shane Smith
Steve Cavanagh, Christopher Bartle, Peter Morgan, Hugh Ward
Peter Wilson, Scott Richmond, Rohan Cantrill, Warrick Ferris INS: Dean OUTS: Mountford
Cambridge
Andrew Ness, Bruce Ride, David Phillips, Peter Easom
Keith Granger, Derril Tennant, Edward Leahy, Geoffrey Jones
Mark James, Wallace Manning, Clifford Wooldridge, Stephen Buckley
Shonah Buckley, Bruce Strang, Nicholas Parker, Neil Bolton INS: Ride, Tennant, St Buckley, Sh Buckley, Strang OUTS: Jones, Hawkes, Lofthouse, Gauntlett, McShane
Quinns host the still-winless Knights in our final matchup. Quinns were flattened last week with a 50-shot demolition at Yanchep, while Cambridge fell agonisingly short of their first win.
Despite sitting 7th, Quinns are only 5 points off top—so no need for panic stations just yet. This matchup should give their percentage the kiss of life. Buckley comes in and takes a rink—whether by strategy or necessity is up for debate—but it’ll strengthen them regardless.
Unfortunately for Cambridge, the hunt for that first win continues.
