I think the flexibility this year with teams open to moving games to Friday nights & Sundays is fantastic but it’s catching me by surprise & something I need to better get my head around. Again this week we only play 3 of the 5 games as the bottom 2 push this round into next Friday & next Sunday respectively.
From a personal viewpoint it’s going to screw up my annual post R6 predictor machine Nostradamus predictions for the season, so I’m ‘not happy jan’. I’m sure I’ll get over it shortly after a few beers.

There the belly flop in diving & there’s Joondalup in bowls! Their season so far could be summed up like ‘They took that leap of faith from the top board for this season & hit hard water somewhere between the rib cage & naval’, irrespective they’ve landed somewhere that’s painful with some soul searching.
Running 1 from 5 leaves them 8th with a gap to 7th & a suction to 1 Blue not far off in 9th spot.
Had the Eagles not win last round we could make a similar case for them running a 2 from 5 after showing up with a hangover like a 18yr after attending the Big Day Out. In fairness, the Eagles took the Saints by a razor sharp 2 shots, albeit it was 2 weeks ago now as the brought forward their R5 (see more confusion). Big shout out to Manning for setting up their Go-Fund me page to buy a laptop fastest than pigeon mail )or should that be Eagle mail, either way it doesn’t work) & getting their selections in on time….AGAIN!! I’m going for another upset here, the Dolphins are all at sea.
Manning 6 - 2

North Beach v Kardinya

North Beach
Brent Palfrey, Steve Richards, Geoffrey Devenish, Michael Sweeney
Peter Merritt, Garry Booker, Chris Margin, Gavin Crosthwaite
Luke Bolton, Tyrell Stanley Brown, Paul Butler, Joe McGinlay
Brent Fielding, Lee Bunney, Rhonda Prosser, Mark Douthie

Kardinya
David Rath, John Brannan, Daryl Radford, Beau McGrechan
Pamela Smith, Travis Leahy, Chris Booth, Steven Novak
Michael Monteiro, Jason Smith, Matthew Ngui, Matthew Allen
Anthony Cocodis, Brett Adams, Danny Comrie, Craig Stokes
INS: Comrie
OUTS: Holmes

GAME OF THE ROUND: Super game here with the matchups so important. No major changes other than Holmes is out after last weeks lose & Comrie in.
Let’s be honest, it’s a barometer of a game for the season as both are total Riccardo shoeies for Finals but they play each other as different sides to that of their glory 1 red days.
The Beach boys should have this with some in the tank but the Kats are wounded after last week when the cat families came together & the Cougar showed the Kat how generics really work, so the Kats will come out fighting but if they can’t maintain the pressure it might be just kittens playing with a yarn ball while the Beach Boys drink winners beers.
North Beach 7 - 1

Victoria Park Carlisle v Safety Bay

Victoria Park Carlisle
Heath Middelbosch, Murray White, Phil Long, Lee Such
Darren Crooks, Robert Johnson, David Florance, Geoffrey White
Charles McKay, Gregory Williams, Gary Beckwith, Ric Gilbert
Calin Sear, Aiden Sear, Jonathan Jermalinski, Michael Simms
INS: Such, Crooks
OUTS: Johnston, Sear

Safety Bay
Anthony Ballard, David Holt, Robert Parr, Chris Carruthers
Sripaiwan (Keay) Buttanu, Scott Foran, Peter Webster, Grant Taylor
Alan Andersson, Christopher Owen, Lexie Webster, Graeme Smith
Faye Capewell, Damian Kitson, Aaron Smith, Stephen Hide

OUTS:

The Reds play what might be considered the top side with as much confidence as Shaq O’Neill at the free throw line!! The Reds have been close, competitive but just not getting those backend numbers or blowout rinks to carry other damage. Small margins in 1 White & life ain’t easy living on the edge, especially with 7.5pts heading into R6.
The Bay are travelling well, half a point of top, solid % & well balanced 4 rinks. Why I say the Bay should be top is because they’re unbeaten 4-0, they pushed their R5 game to Jan so if they win here & go top, they’ll likely be top with a full game in hand, let’s not lose sight of this weekly confusion of rearranged games (see I’m getting my head around the tactics now)!! Very clever by the Bay so I’m all eyes & ears in this one. Home side screaming for a win but it’ll be tight.
Safety Bay 7 - 1

Osborne Park v Mosman Park - Friday Nov 28th

We believe this game is pushed to next Friday night under the lights, so no game tomorrow. The Friday nights haven't gone the home side way this season so they'll be hoping for a change in fortune.
Both sides are screaming for a big W. Mossies lose & it’s likely a pre-Xmas ‘should we press the red button’ & the if the Saints do not win & don’t win the other home game then it’s basically Mr President can I have the nuclear suitcase for launch codes, they are gone.
Osborne Park 7 - 1

Kalamunda v North Perth - Sunday Nov 30th

Mid table v mid table is what you might think should start this introduction but hold the flamin’ crows & giving the Pioneers setup you can add ‘hold my beer’…..it’s bloody the TOP side playing 6th!! Again this isn’t playing until next Sunday not tomorrow (confusion continues).
Pioneers are an impressive 4 from 5 & half a schooner ahead of the chasing pack. You’d think the Bay or Kats would be top but it’s the new kids on the block. Maybe 1 Blue is the new 1 White…..pertinent question as next year we’ll get a proper good look at that question.
The Cougars are ok at home, no massive home ground advantage but after the heroics at the Kats last week I’m super struggling to go against them this week, against the top side or not. Tight game expected. They earned this automatic tip after last week.
Kalamunda 6 - 2
