Skippers records read as NAME (Win,Loss,Draw)
Final game of the first round and we will know where things are at as the Knights play their catchup game against Doubleview. We also have the battle of the beef between the newcomers where the loser I think will be sure to be heading back to white. Its going to be a warm one but lets have a look at the matchups.

Doubleheader for both these team as the Knights take on Doubleview. The Knights are going for 3 in a row and if they can win both games it should see them finish the first round in the 4. As for the View I think we will know their fate after this weekend, they are going to have to win both otherwise they are playing for survival. The Knights haven’t lost at home thus far and I think they will get over the line.
Cambridge 6-2

Been a tough first half for the newcomers only managing 1 win but they face each other in the battle of the beef. Cockburn did get their first win of the season last week and will go into this one with some confidence. Both teams will want to win this to keep their chances of survival alive but it’s the home side for me.
Leeming 7-1

2nd vs 4th as the Millers host the Saints. The Millers will be looking to finish off with a win and keep themselves in the top 2 heading into the second round. The Saints bounced back last week with a one shot win over the premiers and do have a pretty good record at Sth Perth in recent years. Flip of the coin here and should be a beauty but I think the Saints might just get over the line.
Osborne park 6-2

Arthur Bartlett, Brett Tie, Ruairi Kenyon, Simon Alden (68W ,61L ,6D)
INS: No changes
OUTS:

Sorrento
Philip Potts, Alan Walton, David Dunstan, Chris Leggett (12W ,13L ,1D)
Geoff Murray, James Barry, Peter Flack, Robert Urquhart (0W ,1L ,0D)
Ian Munro, Brad Wicks, Ronald Haring, Murray Hulbert (12W ,9L ,0D)
Steve Mortimer, Timothy Murray, Edan Manifis, Rhett Butler (129W ,140L ,9D)
INS: G Murray, T Murray
OUTS: Taylor, Douglass

The Lions head back to the Den this week to take on Sorrento. They will be looking to finish off the first half of the season with a win and possibly get back into the 4. Sorrento conceding all 8 points at home last week and another one of those will quickly see them fall out of the mix. I think Sorrento might of walked away with the chocolates last year but on this occasion the Lions should be too good
Bassendean 7-1

Mount Lawley v Cambridge

Mount Lawley
Travis Ingram, Phillip Park, Shane Loftus, Mark Masel (10W ,15L ,1D)
Paul Sinden, David Morris, Chris Schell, Ben Leggett (30W ,12L ,0D)

Kyle Cornell, Phillip Jones, Jeffrey Bessant, Corey Bessant (38W ,19L ,3D)
INS: Morris
OUTS: Trewhella

Cambridge
Ross Bolton, Lance Strahan, Peter Augustson, Cameron Harris (36W ,42L ,2D)
Grant Allen, Scott Palmer, Deb Saunders, Blake Nairn (79W ,48L ,4D)
Stuart Lofthouse, Don Leeson, David Jones, Kevin Crowle (1W ,1L ,0D)
Alistair Duncanson, Andrew Tennant, Steven Rushforth, Clive Adams (211W ,169L ,15D)
INS: Palmer
OUTS: Manning

The premiers will be looking to once again go into the second round on top and a win here today should see them leading the field and the team to beat. The Knights face a doubleheader and pending on their Friday night result can get right back into the mix with a win here today. No Trewhella isn’t ideal for the home side but I still think they will walk away with the win.
Mt Lawley 7-1

Doubleview v Manning

Gary Nelson, Ben Willesee, Gavin Faulkner, Charles Slavich (108W ,72L ,6D)
INS: McIlroy, Steele
OUTS: Williams, Wetzler

Manning
Andrew Lill, Laura Butler, David Downey, Kristina Van Nierop (13W ,9L ,2D)
Natham Pain, Mitchell Walker, Nathan Jones, Scott Walker (88W ,87L ,9D)
Mark Wunnenberg, Scott Pennington, Blake Butler, Warren Holt (16W ,10L ,0D)
Miles Kemp, Hailey Packer, Mitchell Biglin, Glenn Pauling (99W ,66L ,6D)
INS: Downey
OUTS: Smith

Season pretty much on the line here for the View as its a must win. They head over to Cambridge then take on the Eagles at home. They need to win both to give themselves any chance of finals in the second half but should they lose they are playing for survival. The Eagles sitting in 3rd spot have a great opportunity to possibly jump into the top 2 with a win here today. These 2 always have great battles but I think the Eagles might get up here
Manning 6-2
