OUTS:

Forrestfield at home to Kardinya and looking to put their 1st win of the season on the board. I think Forrestfield are a sneaky good side and we are back to 3 Tillemnas’ in the top side which is always a good sign for them. Hopefully we might see 4 at one point during the season playing in the one rink. But they will come up against an in form Kardinya side that on paper looks to be significantly better than the team that played last season particularly with the inclusion of Danny Comrie. They kicked off the season with a strong win at home and I think they can make it 2 on the trot and record their 1st away win of the season.
Kardinya 6-2

OUTS: Guelfi, Wilson

The pre-season favourites play their 1st home game of the season and if last week is anything to go by they will be hard to beat. They look to have more depth in the side this season with the inclusion of Frank Carbone and his considerable experience and they will be eyeing top spot and automatic promotion. Warnbro on the road has been a doubtful proposition at best and they will not be looking forward to the drive to Kalamunda. But on paper they have a great line up of Skippers headed by the ever - consistent Dr George. I see that in bowls link he is no longer referred to as Dr G but plain old George Jackson - but I intend to continue the tradition for this season at least. How will this change impact his play this season! Regardless I cannot see Kalamunda dropping this one.
Kalamunda 7-1

Willetton v Rockingham

Fred Smith, Marcus Weston, Lindsay Atkins, Mark Devenny
Keith Fyles, Tony Threlfall, Stuart Currie, Marcus Simpson
INS: No changes
OUTS:

Willetton kicked off their season with a superb away win at Dalkeith last week. Away wins are always hard to come by and this suggests that Willetton could be a tough proposition throughout the season. They also should enjoy a strong home ground advantage particularly given that most clubs would not have played their recently. Rockingham also victorious in Round 1 and a bit like Forrestfield they can be sneaky sneaky good on their day. This is a hard one to call – but I think if the young talent at Rockingham are switched and in form they might just get this one.
Rockingham 6-2

Cockburn v Dalkeith Nedlands

William Owen, Michael Joyce, Michael Zusman, Jesse Brown
John McCormack, Andrew Foster, Aleksander Gryta, Lindsay Richardson
INS: Richardson
OUTS: Allen

Two teams who were both defeated in Round 1 will be desperate to get a win on the board. Cockburn performed well down at Warnbro whilst Dalkeith would be disappointed to drop a game at home against the recently promoted Willetton side. Rumours circulating before the game that the two teams could be playing for the Zusman Cup in honour of former Cockburn star and now Dalkeith player Mike Zusman. It would be interesting to see the Srhoy rink up against the Jesse Brown/Mike Zusman combination. This should be a good encounter and I expect Dalkeith will come to play but favour Cockburn at home.
Cockburn 6-2

Danny Nolan, Allan Herbert, Anthony Churcher, Allan Petchell
INS: Hynynen, D Heldt
OUTS: Fitzgerald, Feszczak

The mayor of Rossmoyne would have been hurting this week after a disappointing result at home against Kalamunda. I am pretty sure he would have called a couple of extra training sessions this week to try and sharpen up the skills. They are way to Thornlie who were also defeated Round 1 but will be a much tougher proposition at home. Very tough match to call but I am going to go with the home team.
Thornlie 6 -2
