***changes are from the last game played***

And finally to the first round of fixtures – to me all teams will be much harder to beat at home (stating the obvious I know) It will come down to which teams can sneak some away wins throughout the season
Willetton v Dalkeith Nedlands

Willetton
Rhonda Porter, Peter Bartoshefski, David Reynolds, Cameron Girvan
Peter McSweeney, Mick Phillips, Ken Monkhouse, Alan Walters
Nicholas Rogers, Trevor Thompson, Joshua Calyun, Justin Wright
John Porter, Barry Baker, Michael Brooks, Gavin Dodge
INS: Porter, Rogers, Calyun, Brooks
OUTS: Lagana, Bayens, Langley, Strange

Dalkeith Nedlands
Rob Kelly, Simon Gazia, Rob Moran, Darren Redeckis
Peter Jeanes, David Fitzgerald, Mark Lindsay, Jesse Brown
Michael Joyce, Michael Zusman, Andrew Foster, Michael Yates
Jeffrey Irwin, Aleksander Gryta, Matthew Green, Martin Saunders
INS: Lindsay, Irwin
OUTS: Mackenzie, McCormack

Willetton at home will start as favourites and I expect that they will come out on top. But Dalkeith can be mercurial at times and win games when not expected to do so. Willetton to win the season opener 6-2 in a tight match but an upset would not surprise.
Willetton 6-2

Cockburn v Rockingham

Cockburn
Giuseppi Reale, Mark Ward, Kelli Wray, Paul Brotherston
Viktor Dropulic, Greg Collier, Giuseppi Galipo, Mark (Sydney) Game
Hal Chambers, Ian Coyne, John Wray, James Wylie
Tom King, John Firth, Denis Bandy, Brett Parker
INS: Ward, Game, Coyne, King, Firth, Bandy, Parker
OUTS: Yakas, Srhoy, Sokol, Erskine, Edwards, Burgess, Gibson

Rockingham
Keith Fyles, Tony Threlfall, Lindsay Atkins, Marcus Simpson
Steven Wales, Victor Arriagada, Pietro Villa, Mark Devenny
Ivan Wright, Lance Parkhill, Stephen Mulhall, Bradley Cole
Malcolm Wilson, Terry Rubery, Graeme Roberts, Bruce Edwards
INS: Wales, Parkhill, Mulhall, Cole, Wilson
OUTS: Barrett, George, Tremlett, Smith, Currie

Another match difficult to predict. Am going for Rockingham to cause an upset at the Cockburn fortress. I like the look of the Rockingham side and note that 2 Cockburn skippers from last season in Burgess and the champ Srhoy are both in the Cockburn PL side for Round 1. This one is Rockingham’s for the taking if they are good enough and favour them 6-2.
Rockingham 6-2

South Perth v Kardinya

South Perth
Geoffrey Bovell, Max Petrich, Farley Anderson, Steve Kelly
John Terrell, Lisa Brannan, John Carter, Robert Urquhart
Kenneth Pride, Gary Bennett, Tony Percival, Wayne Bezant
Otto Dawson, Gregory Reagan, David Mortley, Neale Griffin
INS: Brannan, Dawson, Mortley
OUTS: D Reagan, Moretti, McRae

Kardinya
Michael West, Brian Wright, Dave Wood, Hugo Vriezen
Mark Holt, Jack Edgar, Aaron Gale, Brett Adams
Peter Smith, Kenneth Stower, John Brannan, John Rochford
Brenda Juett, Conn Vinci, Les Phillips, Stephen Vinci
INS: West, Holt, Gale, Smith, Stower, Brannan, Juett, Phillips, Vinci
OUTS: Lee, Knapp, Donaldson, McCullagh, Cocodis, Ball, McNamara, Flintoff, Harris

Another interesting match but unfortunately no teams available to review. Both teams are usually very competitive and this match should be no different. But without the teams I will run with the home team 6-2
South Perth 6-2

Armadale v Rossmoyne

Armadale
David Newton, Keith Shean, Anthony Monson, Kevin McKay
Paul Thomas, Timothy Bell, Chadd Hunt, Eddie Gollan
Trevor Southern, Nicholas Lewis, Belinda Lehman, Stewart Gosstray
Doddy Innes, Ken Mackay, Cameron Wilson, Hugh McKay
INS: Newton, Lewis, Mackay
OUTS: Davis, Brown, Ducie

Rossmoyne
Gary Frampton, David Horniman, Raymond Halse, Rawley Lang
Danny Nolan, Matt Baseden, Allan Petchell, Anthony Churcher
Shaan Saunders, Donald Haddow, Mark Armstrong, Craig Edson
Grahame Maesepp, Nigel Edson, Wayne Heldt, Walter Harvey
INS: Halse, Baseden, Saunders, Haddow, Heldt
OUTS: Herbert, Armstrong, Fitzgerald, Feszczak, Regan

This is probably the easiest match to predict for this round. Even without the talents of Brown and Davis Armadale should be too good at home over the Rossmoyne outfit. Nick Lewis is a great recruit although I hope they are paying him petrol money. Rossmoyne will no doubt give this there best shot but will select Armadale to win this 7-1.
Armadale 7-1

Gosnells v Safety Bay

Gosnells
Kevin Cragan, Larry Paterson, Maureen Cooney, Ian Quayle
David Bradbury, Stephen Lawrence, Mark Beauchamp, Rue Bishop
Kevin Ashman, Ronald McKay, Michael Sharpe, Eoghan Gahan
Nicolaas Vanderplank, Trevor Auckland, Michael Rickard, Brett Holland
INS: Cragan, Ashman, Sharpe, Vanderplank, Auckland, Holland
OUTS: Close, Newton, Gale, Watson, Lynch, Byrne

Safety Bay
Faye Capewell, Tadeusz Bochat, Paul Imrie, Raymond Clark
Barry Shackles, Brett Duffield, Geoffrey Burgess, Ron Hall
David Smith, Paul Daynes, Scott Gallon, David Holt
Steven Adams, Anthony Ballard, Bruno McVicar, Raymond Kennedy
INS: Capewell, Bochat, Smith, Burgess, Gallon, Adams
OUTS: Newton, Massari, Fishwick, Gilkinson, McBriar, Petchell

Don’t know a lot about either of these 2 sides and this first up fixture should tell us quite a bit, There looks to have been some major changes to both outfits when compared with how both teams looked at the end of last season. Without a strong form line will select the home team
Gosnells 6-2.
