No requirement for preview on this game as it played out Friday night where both sides accepted bring Sunday’s game forward.
North Beach won 7-1 & our prediction was probably similar as the Beach Boys hit top spot & only 8pts from Safety Bay could knock them off which is unlikely. Dolphins are 1 from 3 heading into R4 with some work to do.

The Bay are humming & a big win here gets them top of the bus. The Cougars are challenging but not grabbing the chocs. Yes they have a W on the board but the score differential to date to a little worrying. Likely a big win for the home side but if the matchup fall right it could be competitive but unlikely the way The Bay are travelling.

The Saints dropped to the Beach boys on Sat & hang out in the unlikely & unwanted company of duck eggs. 3 teams remain winless & this round it’ll likely reduce to 2 but it won’t be the Saints moving out of that unfortunate club.
Kats will be filthy on the selectors switching to Friday night for R2 with the Reds & getting rained out, 4pts each. Honestly why in Gods name would a side with such a home game advantage not check the bloody weather before. The whole point of introducing the flexibility this season was to AVOID the weather not chase it like some hurricane hunters. Honestly if Kats don’t get a ticket for the big dance by less than 3pts this is the moment. Forget the Friday nights lights, it’s not 1 Red, play the percentages guys.
Yes they have the double header at home for both games but now only with a maximum of 12pts available rather than 16pts. They likely take at least 11pts to keep them in the top 4.

The home side are firmly rooted at the bottom, losing this & going 0-3 would be tragic & quite contrasting to the team that finished with such glory in Finals. They may wish to put down their own Kool-aid & start picking up a shovel to get into some real work. The Eagles are flightless with clipped wings winning 3pts from the last 16pts on offer. Mossies got their season up & running with a solid win Saturday. Building on that will be critical & an away win would be just the tonic. If Mossies jump them early it’ll be game on but who knows what Eagle may show early Sunday.
