Kardinya back at home this weekend and they will go in as strong favourites against a Cockburn side that tends to struggle away from home. Only one change for Cockburn with the experienced Dave Wood back in to strengthen the front end. This is somewhat of a contrast with Cockburn team with 4 changes to the team this week. The chairman of selectors would have had a busy Monday and you certainly would not like to see his name appear on your phone that afternoon. I am starting to like the look of the Kardinya side and expect that they will be too strong for Cockburn over the weekend.

Rockingham off to a flyer with 3 straight wins and they will be looking to make it 4 straight against Rossmoyne on the weekend. No side just yet for Rossmoyne whilst Rockingham make 2 changes. Rossmoyne really struggling with just 1.5 rink wins after 3 rounds. Whilst on paper this match looks a formality Rossmoyne are normally very hard to beat at home and they will be desperate to open their account. But the backend power of Rockingham looks just to good and I expect them to record a comfortable victory.

Another team desperate for their 1st victory is Dalkeith with just 5 rink wins so far this season. The take on an improving Gosnells outfit who showed some impressive signs over the weekend. Despite some player losses Gosnells still look to have an experienced side on paper and will still be hard to beat away from home. Dalkeith have shown the ability over the past 2 seasons to perform well with their backs to the wall and I expect them to come out with all guns blazing this weekend. Will it be enough I think it might be and am tipping Dalkeith to open their account with a narrow win over Gosnells.

Match of the day for sure with two quality sides who went at it in Division 2 last season. It was South Perth who came out on top last season with automatic promotion whilst Armadale needed to do it the hard way via the challenge finals. The Armadale back end looks very impressive with Brown, Mckay, Gosstray and Gollan but do they have the depth across all 4 rinks to challenge South Perth away from home. One thing South Perth have is experience and they would have not too many players who have not played Premier League for the club. There could also be a little edge in this game with Daniel Brown returning to play against his former side (one of them). Neither side will take a backward step and with a home ground advantage I expect South Perth to get home in a close one.
South Perth 6-2

Willetton very hard to beat at home and will start as warm favourites in this one. The Girvan rink is flying after 3 rounds but Willetton will need a lift from the other 3 rinks if they intend to go places this season. Safety Bay making a good fist of things early in the season with 2 wins but they will need to be at their very best if they are to trouble Willetton away from home. I can’t see that happening and whilst Safety Bay will be competitive I expect Willetton to record a comfortable win.
