The double header was a busy wkend with so much happening within 24hrs or 36hrs including the Friday nights games, that it was difficult to track but it’s all settled now with R3 showing the fatigue as all 5 home teams won.
For context across all 4 top divisions, PL to 1 Blue, of the 20 Sunday games 17 went to home sides for the Sunday double header. Interesting stat that might be worth remembering.

The Saints are rooted to the bottom of the table 0-3 but they have the next 4 games at home, yes you read that right,4 in a row!!! Win all & the season is back on track, loss even 2 of 4 & disaster. For context after R9 to R18 the Saints have a massive bullseye on their back & have only 3 home games. When we fire up the predictor machine after R6 if Saints haven’t gone 3-0 from this Round….lets just say the machine won’t take it lightly.
The Pioneers are sitting in the last Finals spot with a little comfort in the margin to 5th. Running 2 from 3 is a great start to 1 White. They’ll have a red hot chance here against the bottom side, if they wish to survive. Surely less than a dozen in this.

The Reds 2nd from the bottom need to connect at home to get the season going. Only 2 clubs sitting on duck eggs so the home side need this one big time.
The Eagles dropped an earlier home game & made up for it last week. Whether it’s a flag hangover or something else they should be stronger this year but yet seem to be just surviving with only 1 home win so they need to nab a few on the road.
Both sides screaming for a W, this could go either way. Another close one but just favour the home side after coming back to full strength.

GAME OF THE ROUND: The Dolphins are another side on 1 win against the king of home track bullies themselves. They know they likely not get a W on the return fixture so they need them firmly in the sword here, preferably 7-1.
Kats are only 1.5pts off top spot. To take a top side scalp here would be big for them with Joondalup showing kinks. Kats are not without a chance & great solid test for both sides, truly earning game of the round to set a barometer for the next few rounds.

The Cougars take on the top side in a tough clash. Kalamunda like have the division haven’t won more than 1 game & this is the chance to jump a few spots.
Joe is out for the side that get sea sick just walking to the car park at North Beach so it’ll be a tough task but the reality remains it’s ex.PL playing ex.1Blue…let’s understand 5pm tomorrow what that really means.
The Beach Boys are not expected to pick up many away wins but this could be 1 of them if they play well. What should scare the Cougars is North Beach have 3 of the top 4 skippers on the table at the moment, be aware. The Cougars are already reminded of their last 1 White season where it was filled with many maybe’s or last ends losses, these are the games they just need to convert, no excuses.

Aidan O'Sullivan, Brian Vidovich, Damian Adams, Mitchell Cranswick INS: Kershaw OUTS: Hoffman
These teams have been evenly matched over the years but the Bay seem slightly better than when they last met 2 years with a 98-72 win for the home side. It was a similar home win for Mossies on the return fixture so they tend to trade blows but have produced some cracking games over the years & super close.
Yes Mossies did well in the off season on reducing attrition & did well to snag Parker, Ayres & Vidavich but with Hoffman heading back up the freeway for some easier bowls it leaves a gap that Robertson will take 1 step forward coming from 3rd.
Hard to not go with the home side especially with Hide 1 of only 4 unbeaten skips this season.
