OUTS: Collier, Clayton, Bloomfield

Both sides need a win in this one if they are to have any chance of removing themselves from bottom 4 on the ladder. Dalkeith on a bit of a roll in the 2nd half of the season with 3 from 4 and they will start as favourites in this one on their home deck. Cockburn’s best form has been at home however I note with interest that Steve Srhoy returns to their side this week in his favoured skipper’s role and this can only strengthen their side. It would be good theatre if Srhoy were to come up against his ex Cockburn team mate in Mike Zusman when the cards are drawn pre game. That said I do think that Dalkeith are in form and confident and this should be enough for them to win and reclaim the Mike Zusman cup!
Dalkeith 7-1

Both teams need a win in this one on the weekend. South Perth looking a little shaky since the mid season break and they will be looking to get back to top form against bottom placed Gosnells at home this week. Gosnells also probably bring their best game at home as evidenced in last weeks game against Dalkeith when they were victorious across 3 rinks but fell just short in the aggregate. They need to be winning this match if they are to have some hope of getting out of relegation territory come the end of the season. This will be a much tougher test on the weekend playing at South Perth and I expect that the home team despite some recent from wobbles will be too strong and come away with the points.
South Perth 7-1

Kardinya v Rockingham

OUTS: Threlfall

Another big game pitting two teams contending for promotion up against each other on the weekend. Kardinya hot on the heels of top side Armadale and they will be hot favourites to win this one at home. The master Conn Vinci back in the side this week in what looks to be a pretty classy side on paper. The return of Simpson can only help Rockingham although a little strange that he is not back in his normal skipper’s role. At their best Rockingham would be some chance in this however on the road and at the tricky Kardinya surface I expect that the home side will come away with a pretty comfortable win in the end.
Kardinya 7-1

OUTS: Kennedy, McInnes, Foran

The Rossmoyne juggernaut back at home this week and with 7 wins from their last 8 will start as very short priced favourites to make it 8 out of 9. Incredible performance since the end of round 5 and they have given themselves a great chance of now finishing top 3 and earning promotion. They take on the Safety Bay outfit who have been good all season but would have been somewhat disappointed to drop a match at home last week against then bottom 4 side Willetton. I am sure that they will bounce back on the weekend as they are a pretty determined outfit but this is a severe test and I know for a fact that once Mayor Lang gets his foot on your throat it is tough getting up.
Rossmoyne 7-1

Interesting match and despite their ladder positions I think this could be a close battle all day. Willetton seem to be back towards their best form with a strong win at Safety Bay and at home they are always a chance against any side. But Armadale returned to top form last week against arch rivals South Perth and they will be looking to carry this form on into this match. Despite a superb season Armadale are still no certainties for top spot with Kardinya still within range should they slip up at any stage. However with their best side on the park this week they will have too much class for Willetton and should walk away with a solid win in the end.
Armadale 6-2
